摘要： Disclosed is a method for configuring a ranging channel in various frame structures and using the same in a communication system. A ranging channel is effectively configured according to a data structure, namely, frame structure, transmitted and received between a mobile station (MS) and a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system, and ranging information is transmitted therethrough to thereby improve performance of a communication channel and resource efficiency. In the wireless communication system, a ranging channel is configured by using a time interval, such as an idle time, an idle symbol, an RTG, a TTG, and the like, not actually used for transmission of data or a signal in a data structure, namely, in a frame structure, transmitted and received between an MS and a BS, to transmit ranging information, so the channel performance and resource efficiency can be improved.

摘要： An access point, a layer 2 switch, and multicast handover supporting method using the access point and the layer 2 switch are provided. According to the method of supporting multicast handover, when a mobile node is handed over from one cell to another while being provided with a multicast service in a wireless mobile communication network, the L2 switch performs multicast traffic routing in response to reception of MAC address information and multicast service source and group information from the access point. Hence, multicast traffic can be supported to be fast and seamlessly handed over within layer 2 network equipment.

The water purifier having an ice maker includes a water tray member comprising an ice-making water tray holding ice-making raw water to make ice using an ice-making unit, and an auxiliary water tray holding ice-making raw water remaining in the ice-making water tray in the course of cooling the ice-making raw water by means of the ice-making unit and removing the ice-making raw water from the ice-making water tray; an ice reservoir storing ice made in the ice-making unit; a cold water storage tank cooling water held therein using the ice made in the ice-making unit; and a guide member guiding the ice made in the ice-making unit so that the ice is selectively fed to either the ice reservoir or the cold water storage tank. The ice maker and the water purifier having the came may be useful to improve the ice-making efficiency since residual cooling water cooled in the ice-making water tray is collected in the auxiliary water tray, and re-used to make ice.

摘要： Disclosed a transmission apparatus in a CDMA mobile communication system. Transmission frames each have a plurality of time slots, and each of the time slots includes two data parts having the same length, a midamble intervening between the data parts, and a guard period for dividing the consecutive time slots. The transmission apparatus modulates the frames into a radio signal with a modulation signal and transmits the modulated radio signal using a plurality of antennas. A power amplifier amplifies the radio signal. A controller generates a switching control signal in a guard period of time slots of a frame associated with the radio signal amplified by the power amplifier. A switch switches the amplified radio signal from the power amplifier between a first and a second antenna in response to the switching control signal.
