摘要: A vent for a fluid system includes a chamber through which fluid can flow along either a first flow path or a second flow path, in which the resistance to fluid flow is relatively high when the fluid follows the first flow path and relatively low when the fluid follows the second flow path. In a preferred embodiment the chamber is substantially cylindrical and has two ports, one of which is substantially coaxial with the chamber and the other of which is substantially tangential to the chamber. The fluid flow, at least when following the first flow path, may include a component of higher density than the fluid, and the flow of the fluid along the first flow path may act to separate the higher density component from the fluid.

摘要: A composite structure manufactured on a knit stitch machine and including a pair of preformed substrates joined together by a knitted yarn system while being separated by portions of the yarn system. Preferably the yarn is bulked after knitting and defines a plurality of supports between the substrates. The composite is produced by feeding the substrates through a knit stitch machine, on opposite sides of a spacer bar and developing the knit stitches of the yarn system through and about the substrates while located on opposite sides of the spacer bar. After the composite is produced it preferably is subjected to heat to cause yarn of the yarn system to bulk and form supports between the substrates. The composites may be enclosed in sealed polymeric envelopes to form a cushioning pad, or may be used for filtration, insulation or other uses. The process of producing the composite and the spacer bar are also disclosed and claimed.

摘要: A method for creating a user interface for a system may include dynamically assessing entitlement of a user to data elements and/or processes of the system based at least on a security setting of the user and a context of the transaction between the user and the system, authorizing the user to access portions of the system, and filtering a response message of the system based at least on the authorization of the user. The user interface may be rendered based at least on the filtered response message to allow the user to access some portions of the system and to inhibit the user from accessing other portions of the system. A system may include a CPU and a memory coupled to the CPU including program instructions executable to implement the method described above. A carrier medium may include program instructions executable to implement the method described above.

摘要: Releasable locking apparatus for locking together adjacent elongated members such as a support post (10) and a drawbar (16) of a vehicle. In one arrangement, first and second mountings in the form of saddles (20 and 28) are adapted to saddle respective elongated support post and drawbar for non-rotational connection thereto. The saddles are connected to respective support post and towbar by a common pin (21) about which they may rotate when disconnected. Overlapped portions (23 and 29) of the saddles abut to provide a non-rotational connection. Releasable security type locking means attached to pin aperture (25) restrains axial movement along the pin. The support post is movable and releasably lockable from a vertically extending support position to a stowed position extending alongside the drawbar.
