    摘要: A solar and wind energy generating system for mounting to a building comprises a wind generator system including at least an auger shaped air engaging member. A plurality of wind generators having air engaging vanes may also be provided. The wind generating system intercepts the flow of air currents to produce mechanical energy which is transformed into electrical energy by an electric generator. The air engaging surface of the wind generator vanes or the auger include a plurality of surface deviations. The surface deviations are arranged in at least one predetermined pattern such as a plurality of radially extending deviation sets. The solar generator includes a plurality of solar energy collectors. The wind generators may further include air engaging vanes with at least one transparent surface, and a plurality of solar energy collectors within a cavity formed in the vane, thus forming a combined solar and wind energy generator. The wind and solar generators are stored within the building when not in use, and movable to a position exterior of the building when in use. The wind and solar energy generating system may be vertically or horizontally mounted, on or off a pedestal, and may be surrounded by a net like structure to prevent harm to birds.

    摘要: Airships for transporting liquid have storage tanks located amidship with their inlet conduits opening through the forward part of the upper deck enabling the tanks to be filled while an airship is moored to a special tower. The tank contents are discharged through outlet conduits that are lowered to the receiving station. Where different liquids are to be carried, the tanks are arranged to minimize ballasting problems during loading and unloading. In one embodiment, the tank has a plurality of outlet conduits and each is provided with a nozzle. The several nozzles are secured to a holder that is raised and lowered with the conduits.

    摘要: A hybrid annular airship of the kind including an annulus containing at least one gas containing portion is disclosed which is characterized by improved maneuverability, stability and speed. This improvement is effected by combined means comprising a pair of tubes mounted diametrically within the annulus and normal one to the other. A plurality of doors are provided for selectively closing off one or the other of the pair of tubes. Each tube is provided with a propulsion unit, having an access port, and preferably reversibly mounted therein. The tubes either are mounted on the same level or at different levels. Preferably, the propulsion units are jet engines which are individually operable. An elevator and a walkway preferably are provided communicating with each of the access ports leading to the propulsion units. Preferably, each access port has its own opening and closing mechanism.

The system includes a mound and a road bed prepared about and leading to an undersea well head, a base plate having an anchoring track and secured onto the mound and about the well head, a collar member secured to the base plate above the well head by being connected to the anchoring track thereof, a structure also erected on the base plate adjacent the well head, a capping member secured to the structure, a bag floating on the sea surface above the well head and a flexible hose connected between the collar member and the bag. Preferably, at least portions of the mound and the road bed are formed on shore of a plurality of preformed segments, then transported to and assembled in situ on the sea floor about the well head. Preferably, a remotely controlled device is provided designed to do work about the well head and accomodated on the road bed leading to the well head.

    摘要: Germicidal iodine based compositions are disclosed that consist of iodide anions, a source of peroxide and peroxidase in combination with iodine sequestering agents. The compositions are formed in situ in an aqueous based medium by combining a peroxide source, iodine ions or source thereof, a peroxidase classified within Enzyme Commission identification No. E.C. 1.11.1.7 and an iodine sequestrant. The addition of a sequestrant before the equilibration of the enzymatic reaction formed by admixing the composition with an aqueous based medium, provides for a non-reactive enzymatic composition. The resulting composition having an increase of available iodine concentration compared to an identical composition without an iodine sequestrant.
