摘要: A compressible differential pressure energized seal (18) coacting between a filter element (10) and the like and a housing (21) comprises a compressible portion (35) having a large open end (36) and a small open end (37), the large end (36) directed toward and contacting the housing (21 ) and the small end (37) directed toward the filter (10) element; and an annular flange (38) integrally attached to the compressible portion (35) at its small end (37) and extending outwardly, the flange (38) operatively communicating with the filter element (10). The seal (18) may also include at least one flap (43) to center the filter element (10) to which it is attached onto a centering rod (31 ) carried within the housing (21 ). Such a seal (18) is compressed when the element (10) is operationally enclosed within the housing (21 ) to provide a leak-proof seal during operation and is self-energizing during operation such that as the differential pressure increases, it more forcefully engages the sealing surface.

摘要: The present invention sets forth an improved cell type filter cartridge in which the individual cells contain a separator disc having stiffening members formed at the central aperture of the cell and connected to a plurality of the separating ribs in spaced relation to each other. The coaction of the two or more discs with the separator ribs provides for a rigid, box-like structure of the ribs to impart a substantial cantilevered strength to the ribs. Additionally, at least one of the stiffening discs is positioned at or near the ends of the separator ribs to act as a load-bearing surface to prevent media intrusion of the filtering medium and thereby maintain the area of the flow path of the filtered liquid as it passes through the central aperture of the disc.

摘要: An encapsulated filter cartridge assembly is disclosed which is adapted and configured for reception within an elongated cartridge housing of a filtration system. The filter cartridge assembly includes an elongated filtration element, a connector head positioned adjacent an upper end portion of the filtration element, an outer shell extending axially from the connector head and encapsulating the filtration element, and an expansion joint integrally formed in the outer shell to facilitate expansion of the outer shell within the elongated cartridge housing.

摘要: A photosensitive element suitable for manufacture of an external nameplate comprises a substrate carrying a cured non-etchable background surface, an etchable curable polymeric layer that can be etched imagewise to provide an image viewable against a background, and a photosensitive layer. A nameplate or other sign is obtained by imagewise photoexposure of the photosensitive layer, developing the image to reveal the curable layer, etching the revealed curable layer imagewise, removing the residual photosensitive material and then baking the product.

摘要: An automated method and system for facilitating timely use and/or redemption of the unused portion of an electronic ticket are provided. In accordance with the method, ticket data (e.g., from an electronic ticket) is collected from a financial transaction account, then a search engine uses said ticket data to find open tickets. Finding open tickets includes setting an aging period and adding it to the scheduled departure date of the issued ticket, and a reminder period is set and subtracted from the scheduled date of a ticket. If the scheduled departure date plus the aging date is earlier than the current date, a determination is made as to whether the ticket has been used. If the scheduled date minus the reminder period is earlier than the current date, then a message is communicated to the traveler reminding him to use or redeem the ticket. A residual value of the ticket is calculated and list of open tickets with a value related to each ticket is transmitted to the issuing agency to facilitate the issuing agency issuing a refund of the open ticket.
