摘要: A method of providing media content access is disclosed that includes providing a list of available media content to a display device and receiving a selection related to the list of available media content. The method further includes sending data related to the selection to a content source and to an access rule source and receiving media content from the content source based on the selection and an access rule related to the media content from the access rule source. The method also includes applying the access rule to the selected media content, where the access rule defines a restriction to limit access to the media content.

摘要: A client-server system for corporate travel planning, expense reporting and travel management that utilizes a corporate database server to enable accurate and timely pre-travel and post-travel decision making that is fed by a travel planning process and an expense reporting process, plus a SABRE data feed of all booked data and back office system data as well as a hand-off of exchange and void ticket information that comprises a Travel Planning module, a Travel Decision Maker module, and a Travel Expense Reporting module. The system uses a corporate database environment communicating with a real-time CRS data feed that enhances the Travel Planning module by offering the traveler live choices of air, car, and hotel availability based upon company travel policy as well as live access to current or company negotiated fares while also allowing the Travel Decision Maker module to make comparisons between booked information and actual current travel data.

摘要: A system and method for purchasing a money order via the internet including the steps of providing an internet based money order system capable of generating money orders upon the receipt of a purchase request by a prospective buyer via the internet for a predetermined amount of funds. The prospective buyer transmits information to the money order system, via the internet, which information is required to purchase the money order. The money order is then remotely generated by the money order system and is delivered to an intended recipient of the money order.

摘要: The invention is directed to a method and system for organizing and planning various categories of events, tasks and long-term goals. The method generally includes the steps of providing at least one data module for generating data for a specific topic area of events and tasks; prompting a user to provide data based on the specific topic area of the one data module; categorizing the data inputted by the user into appointment data and task data; inputting the appointment data into a calendar framework; inputting the task data into a task list framework; and generating an output calendar and task list based on the calendar and task list frameworks. The system incorporates at least one data module for generating data for a specific category of events and tasks, means for inputting data from a user, means for processing the data inputted from the user for the data module, and means for generating an output calendar and task list. The data module includes means for prompting a user to provide data based on the specific category of events and tasks to which the data module is directed. The processing means includes means for categorizing the data inputted by the user into appointment data and task data, means for inputting the appointment data into a calendar framework, and means for inputting the task data into a task list framework.

摘要: A method of valuation of groups of assets by partial full underwriting, partial sample underwriting and inferred values of the remainder using an iterative and adaptive statistical evaluation of all assets. Statistical inferences drawn from the evaluation are applied to generate the inferred values. The assets are collected into a database, catagorized, subdivided by ratings as to those variables and then rated individually. The assets are then regrouped according to a bidding grouping and a collective valuation is established. Simulated bid scenarios are examined for combinations of bid prices and a best bid price according to risk and return is determined.

摘要: A method for integrating and displaying medical data in which a computer program links a flow sheet of a medical record to medical charts. The flow sheet has a standardized time scale in the rows and a group of data items in the columns. The program determines the position of a cursor in the flow sheet, and interpolates or erases data in cells of the flowsheet as appropriate. Each empty data cell between cells containing real data is interpolated according to a predetermined formula. The interpolation method can be one in which an average of the preceding cell and the subsequent cell are recalculated up to several hundred times. Another interpolation method involves the use of a gradient, row values and an intercept. The resulting medical charts are designed so that therapeutic data and clinical data are simultaneously displayed on the same chart with the same time scale. The system can be connected to a client server system of a computer network. The system allows the comparison of regularly collected data of many patients because it has a standardized time scale and data interpolated by an appropriate formula.

摘要: A fuel station communication system used to transmit audio and video information to customers at fuel pumps. The fuel station communication system includes a transmitter located in a station store and a receiver having a communication unit located at a fuel pump. A wire pair connects the transmitter and receiver together for transmitting audio and video signals from the transmitter to the receiver. To provide for simultaneous transmission of the audio and video signals over the wire pair, the transmitter includes a modulator and signal summer. The modulator modulates the audio signal above the video signal, and the signal summer adds the modulated audio signal and the video signal together to form a combined, audio-video signal. A differential line driver and differential line receiver are connected to provide transmission of the audio-video signal from the transmitter to the receiver. The receiver includes a demodulator for converting the audio-video signal to separate audio and video signals for input into a communication unit located at the fuel pump. To electrically isolate the transmitter and receiver, optical couplers are disposed in the transmitter and receiver and separate power supplies are provided for portions of the transmitter and receiver.

摘要: An automated method and system for facilitating timely use and/or redemption of the unused portion of an electronic ticket are provided. In accordance with the method, ticket data (e.g., from an electronic ticket) is collected from a financial transaction account, then a search engine uses said ticket data to find open tickets. Finding open tickets includes setting an aging period and adding it to the scheduled departure date of the issued ticket, and a reminder period is set and subtracted from the scheduled date of a ticket. If the scheduled departure date plus the aging date is earlier than the current date, a determination is made as to whether the ticket has been used. If the scheduled date minus the reminder period is earlier than the current date, then a message is communicated to the traveler reminding him to use or redeem the ticket. A residual value of the ticket is calculated and list of open tickets with a value related to each ticket is transmitted to the issuing agency to facilitate the issuing agency issuing a refund of the open ticket.
