摘要： An implant element for permanent anchorage in bone tissue in which at least the surface is intended to face the tissue in the implantation region. The element is made of titanium with a titanium oxide surface which has been modified by anodization to acquire oxide thickness of approximately 10-200 nm. Also acquired are an increased surface crystallinity and a roughness on the submicrometer scale in order to provide a high-degree of bone-to-implant contact.

摘要： A percutaneous ostomy implant for implantation into the abdominal wall of a patient. The implant has a cylindrical part for mounting an external detachable device thereto, an ingrowth mesh and a circular flange for anchoring the implant. The cylindrical part and circular flange are attached to opposite ends of the ingrowth mesh. The ingrowth mesh is arranged such that when the implant is implanted in the abdominal wall of a patient, the epidermis meets the ingrowth mesh and is able to attach therethrough directly to serosal tissue of a bowel segment inside the implant.

摘要： A pair of superimposed panels are heat sealed together to define a reservoir in a dispenser pouch, adapted to contain a liquid therein. A tapered-down neck is defined on a lower end of the pouch and communicates with the reservoir to retain a pre-measured charge of the liquid therein. Narrow overlying and unsealed panel portions at the termination of the neck form a normally closed valve that opens when a predetermined external pressure is applied to the pouch.

摘要： Memory associated with a mobile communication device, such as memory removably inserted into a memory card slot, may be accessed, in the alternative, by a mobile communication platform or by a remote USB host. A memory access module connected to the memory card slots is operative in one of two modes: a pass-through mode and a USB mode. In the pass-through mode, the memory card slots are directly connected, via switching circuits, to memory interfaces on the mobile communication platform. A USB interface on the mobile communication platform may additionally be connected, in pass-through mode, via a USB hub to a remote USB host. In the USB mode, the memory card slots are connected, via switching circuits, second memory interfaces, and a controller, to a USB hub supporting USB 3.0 transfer protocols, and accessible by a remote host.
