摘要： An air filtration and exhaust system is described. The system comprises a microcontroller, a power supply, and a series of sensors that detect the presence of airborne contaminants such as ultra fine particles, smoke, natural gas and radon gas. In the presence of these airborne contaminants, the system is designed to inactivate and prevent operation of nearby food preparation appliances. Once these contaminants have been safely removed, the operation of these appliances is restored. In addition, the ventilation system may be equipped with a purification subassembly, which safely and efficiently removes such containments from the area. The system may also comprise an alarm that is activatable in the presence of these contaminants.

摘要： A fire extinguisher including a spring biased plunger controlled by a trigger mechanism wherein the plunger is mounted in a flame retardant compound container and the spring and plunger cooperate, when the trigger mechanism is activated, to discharge flame retardant compound from the container toward a fire. The extinguisher has a handle end and an outlet end at opposite ends of its length such that a user can hold the outlet end in a remote location away from the user when compound is discharged. The extinguisher can also be mounted and provided with a heat sensor for automatic activation.

摘要： An actuator for releasing a pressurized fire extinguishing composition from the cylinder of a fire extinguisher has an elongated body made of a single piece. The body has a longitudinal chamber that extends through it for holding a ram that moves along the chamber and a spring for propelling the ram, a first transverse aperture for holding a trigger that releases the spring and a second transverse aperture for holding a member that moves due to movement of the ram, where both apertures join the chamber. Movement of the member releases the composition from cylinder. A microswitch or a cable, activated by the ram, may be attached to either or both ends of the chamber.
