摘要: A fire suppression system having a first triggering mechanism capable of being remotely triggered in response to a fire condition and a second manual triggering mechanism. More particularly, the fire extinguisher includes a valve for a fire extinguisher capable of manual and automatic operation. The system further includes a mechanism to notify of inoperable local status. During automatic operation, the system can be being triggered by a control panel in electrical communication, such as in response to a signal from smoke detectors. This system may also be manually triggered or in response to a temperature threshold sensor or other sensors. The valve includes an actuator that provides a separate area to place a safety pin for storing securely, and which provides feedback to the control system that the safety pin is properly stored and therefore, the fire extinguisher is active.

摘要: Provided is an automatic fire extinguisher providing a simplified operation method for easily pulling out a safety pin while a handle is strongly grasped and allowing a spray hose to automatically aim a flame, and, furthermore, which is easily recognizable even from a distance when the safety pin is separated at normal times. The automatic fire extinguisher includes a main body vessel (55) in which a fire extinguishing agent is filled, a lower handle (2) coupled to a plug (4) disposed on an upper portion of the main body vessel (55), and an upper handle (1) coupled to the lower handle (2) through a first hinge shaft (19).

摘要: A fire extinguisher includes a container that has a chamber for holding a fire-extinguishing agent. The container also includes a domed top portion and recessed bottom portion. The domed top portion includes a valve port, and the recessed bottom portion has an edge for standing the container generally upright. The fire extinguisher also includes a valve attached to the valve port of the container and a dispenser attached to the container for operating the valve. The dispenser also includes a handle and a pivotable trigger. Further, the fire extinguisher includes a gauge mounted within the recessed bottom portion of the container. The gauge is configured to display at least one characteristic of the chamber of the container. Also, the gauge is mounted above the edge of the recessed bottom portion.

摘要: Improvements to a self-fluffing vehicle fire extinguisher where the improvements relate to a system where the extinguisher can be monitored and maintained. Further Improvements include an anti-bridging mechanism that is articulated from the exterior of the chamber to fluff, mix or stir the powder within the chamber to keep it in a liquefied state. An automatic fluffing motor and manual fluffing wheel. Pressurizing the fire extinguisher can be with an external gas chamber or can be with a compressor that maintains the pressure within the extinguisher. A delivery system can direct the fire extinguishing media to an area of the vehicle that has an elevated temperature or can distribute the media thorough the occupied or unoccupied portion of the vehicle.

Another improvement includes the use of a CO2 cartridge located external to the chamber to allow easier servicing or replacement of just the CO2 cartridge as well as the ability to maintain the chamber in an un-pressurized condition, allows for non-HASMAT shipping. These features will extend the service intervals while maintaining the fire extinguisher in a ready condition.

摘要: A novel flame retardant and fire extinguishing product for preventing and fighting fires in liquids is disclosed herein. The product comprises water, one or more flame retardants, one or more polymers, one or more surfactants, one or more emulsifiers, one or more preservatives, and one or more firming agents. In some embodiments, the product may further comprise one or more stabilizers, one or more binders, and/or one or more fining agents. The product may be used as a fire extinguishing agent in active firefighting and as a flame retardant to prevent fires. The product may be biodegradable in a natural environment, may be readily cleaned off equipment and materials to which it has been applied using water, and may also provide other features which render it safe for the environment as compared to other commonly used products in fire prevention and firefighting.
