摘要: This invention relates to the recovery of carbon dioxide (26) and hydrogen (3,24) concentrated form from shifted a synthesis gas stream comprising hydrogen and carbon dioxide thereby generating a carbon dioxide stream that is sequestered or used for enhanced oil recovery and a hydrogen stream that is used as fuel for a power plant thereby generation electricity. In the process of the present invention a shifted synthesis gas stream is fed to a hydrogen selective membrane separation unit (M101) at a pressure of at least 50 bar gauge and the hydrogen rich permeate stream (3) is fed directly to the combustor of a gas turbine without any requirement to re-compress the hydrogen. The residual gas stream (carbon dioxide enriched stream) from the membrane separation unit is cooled using at least one, preferably, at least two external refrigeration stages (E-101, E-102, E-103, E-104) such that the hydrogen containing offgas (24) is also obtained at above the operating pressure of the combustor of the gas turbine.

摘要: A process is described for the production of hydrogen from a hydrogen-containing compound within a reactor comprising a first and a second zone separated by a selective hydrogen-permeable membrane, in which a hydrogen-producing reaction occurs in the first zone and hydrogen permeates from the first zone to the second zone through the selective hydrogen-permeable membrane, in which a sweep gas stream is combined with permeated hydrogen in the second zone, wherein the partial pressure in the second zone of the reactor is maintained at a level of greater than 30 psi (207 kPa).

摘要: A continuous process for regasifying a feed stream comprising (i) a slurry phase comprising gas hydrate particles suspended in a produced liquid hydrocarbon and optionally free produced water and (ii) optionally a gaseous phase comprising free produced gaseous hydrocarbon thereby generating a regasified multiphase fluid and for separating the regasified multiphase fluid into its component fluids, comprising the steps of: (a) heating the feed stream to above the dissociation temperature of the gas hydrate thereby regasifying the feed stream by converting the gas hydrate particles into gaseous hydrocarbon and water; (b) separating a gaseous hydrocarbon phase from the regasified multiphase fluid thereby forming a gaseous hydrocarbon product stream and a liquid stream comprising a mixture of liquid hydrocarbon and water; (c) separating the liquid stream comprising a mixture of the liquid hydrocarbon and water into a liquid hydrocarbon phase and an aqueous phase; and (d) removing the liquid hydrocarbon phase as a liquid hydrocarbon product stream.

摘要: Continuous process for regasifying a feed stream having (i) a slurry phase comprising gas hydrate particles suspended in a produced liquid hydrocarbon and optionally free produced water and (ii) optionally a gaseous phase comprising free produced gaseous hydrocarbon thereby generating a regasified multiphase fluid and for separating the regasified multiphase fluid into its component fluids. The method includes (a) heating the feed stream to above the dissociation temperature of the gas hydrate thereby regasifying the feed stream by converting the gas hydrate particles into gaseous hydrocarbon and water, (b) separating a gaseous hydrocarbon phase from the regasified multiphase fluid thereby forming a gaseous hydrocarbon product stream and a liquid stream comprising a mixture of liquid hydrocarbon and water, (c) separating the liquid stream comprising a mixture of the liquid hydrocarbon and water into a liquid hydrocarbon phase and an aqueous phase; and (d) removing the liquid hydrocarbon phase as a liquid hydrocarbon product stream. The regasification production facility additionally has a concentrator vessel and the feed stream is passed to the concentrator vessel prior to being heated in step (a) to above the dissociation temperature of the gas hydrate particles wherein a gaseous phase comprising free gaseous hydrocarbon separates from the feed stream in the concentrator vessel and is removed from the concentrator as a gaseous hydrocarbon stream.
