摘要: A methanol synthesis plant comprising: a feed pretreating section operable to pretreat a feed stream; a synthesis gas (syngas) generation section comprising one or more reactors operable to produce a syngas synthesis product stream comprising synthesis gas from the feed stream; a methanol synthesis section comprising one or more methanol synthesis reactors operable to produce a synthesis product comprising methanol; and/or a methanol purification section operable to remove at least one component from the synthesis product to provide a purified methanol product; wherein the methanol synthesis plant is configured such that, relative to a conventional methanol synthesis plant, more of the net energy required by the methanol synthesis plant, the feed pretreating section, the syngas generation section, the methanol synthesis section, the methanol purification section, or a combination thereof, is provided by a non-carbon based energy source, a renewable energy source, and/or electricity.

摘要: A chemical reactor including reformer tubes for reforming a first feed stream including a hydrocarbon gas and steam. The chemical reactor includes one or more reformer tubes arranged to being heated by an electrically driven heat source. The reformer tube includes a first inlet for feeding said first feed stream into a first reforming reaction zone of the reformer tube, and a feed conduit arranged to allow a second feed stream into a second reforming reaction zone of the reformer tube. The second reforming reaction zone is positioned downstream of the first reforming reaction zone. The feed conduit is configured so that the second feed stream is only in contact with catalyst material in the second reforming reaction zone. A process of producing CO rich synthesis gas at low S/C conditions.

摘要: Offshore systems and methods may be configured for oil production, offshore power generation, ammonia production, and carbon dioxide injection for EOR. For example, a method performed on an offshore facility may include: separating a produced hydrocarbon into a produced gas and a produced oil; combusting the produced gas to produce power and a flue gas; at least partially removing nitrogen from the flue gas to produce a carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas and a nitrogen-enriched flue gas; reforming a portion of the produced gas to produce a stream including hydrogen and carbon dioxide; at least partially separating the carbon dioxide from the stream to yield a carbon dioxide stream and a hydrogen stream; reacting the hydrogen stream and the nitrogen-enriched flue gas to yield ammonia; combining and compressing the carbon dioxide stream and the carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas; and injecting the compressed gas from the gas compressor into the gas reservoir.

摘要: Provided herein is process of obtaining hydrogen from a blue hydrogen production facility that meets a target carbon intensity (CIT), the process comprising: generating hydrogen from non-renewable feedstock; capturing and sequestering fossil CO2 derived from the non-renewable feedstock; and at least partially powering hydrogen production with renewable electricity, the renewable electricity being derived from biomass in which biogenic carbon produced therefrom (e.g., carbon dioxide, char and the like) is captured and sequestered; and wherein the use of the renewable electricity in the hydrogen production allows the carbon intensity of the hydrogen produced therefrom to be reduced sufficiently so that the target carbon intensity (CIT) is achieved.

摘要: A process for separating two gaseous streams, including purifying a first gaseous stream in a first acid gas removal absorber, purifying in a first temperature swing adsorption unit, and then separating at a cryogenic temperature in a separation unit to produce a stream of fluid enriched in carbon monoxide and a stream of fluid enriched in hydrogen, sending a second gaseous stream containing at least carbon monoxide, hydrogen and at least one acid gas to a shift reaction unit, the shifted second stream is purified in a second acid gas removal absorber to remove carbon dioxide and the purified second stream is sent as a feed stream to a pressure swing adsorption unit to produce a hydrogen enriched stream, and sending at least part of the stream enriched in hydrogen from the separation unit as a feed stream to the pressure swing adsorption unit to produce the hydrogen-enriched stream.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a processes and systems for producing fuels from biomass with high carbon conversion efficiency. The processes and systems described herein provide a highly efficient process for producing hydrocarbons from biomass with very low Green House Gas (GHG) emissions using a specific combination of components, process flows, and recycle streams. The processes and systems described herein provide a carbon conversion efficiency greater than 95% with little to no GHG in the flue gas due to the novel arrangement of components and utilizes renewable energy to provide energy to some components. The system reuses water and carbon dioxide produced in the process flows and recycles naphtha and tail gas streams to other units in the system for additional conversion to syngas to produce hydrocarbon-based fuels.

Without the flue gas stream leaving a fired heater, all of the carbon dioxide produced by the reforming process is concentrated in the high-pressure syngas stream, allowing essentially complete carbon dioxide capture.

摘要: A method and system for converting a syngas stream to a shifted syngas stream in a shift reactor comprising a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. The first mode of operation uses heat from the shifted syngas stream to superheat steam in a heat exchanger. The second mode of operation uses the same heat exchanger to heat a partially shifted syngas stream while the shift reactor is heating up to a normal operating temperature.
