Abstract:
An electromagnetic sensing apparatus is provided for a touch screen having a display and a soft key. The electromagnetic sensing apparatus includes a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) including a display area corresponding to the display and a sub-area corresponding to the soft key, a controller including channels, which controls electromagnetic sensing of the electromagnetic sensing apparatus, and a plurality of loop units that extend from the channels and output current induced by an electromagnetic field. At least one of the plurality of loop units includes a first sub-loop arranged in the display area and a second sub-loop arranged in the sub-area. At least one of the plurality of loop units includes a first sub-loop arranged in the display area and does not include a second sub-loop.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a light guide member and a keypad assembly including the same. The light guide member includes a light guide plate for guiding light propagated inside, and at least one recess formed in a direction perpendicular to a direction of guidance of light coupled to the inside of the light guide plate so that light guided by the light guide plate is reflected to the light guide plate. The keypad assembly includes a keypad having at least one key button and an elastic sheet fixing the key button, a light guide member positioned beneath the keypad, the light guide member having a light guide plate for guiding light coupled to an inside and at least one recess for reflecting light guided by the light guide plate to the light guide plate, and a switch pad positioned beneath the light guide member so as to establish an electric contact when the key button is pressed.
Abstract:
A touch screen and a method for controlling the touch screen are provided. The touch screen includes a user interface including a display area and at least one soft key; a touch sensor unit disposed under the display area and the at least one soft key of the user interface, for sensing a touch on the display area or the at least one soft key; a display unit disposed under the touch sensor unit, for outputting a display screen; a first electromagnetic sensor unit disposed under the display unit, for sensing an electromagnetic field incident on the display area; and a second electromagnetic sensor unit physically separated from the first electromagnetic sensor unit, for sensing at least one electromagnetic field incident on the at least one soft key.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a keypad and a keypad assembly for providing increased flexibility. The disclosed keypad includes a base film having button parts formed on the base film, a light guide layer into which light is guided, and electronic paper which is illuminated by light emitted from the light guide layer, and displays at least one symbol, wherein the electronic paper includes metal areas corresponding to the button parts and non-metal areas disposed between the metal areas so as to provide flexibility for the electronic paper. The flexibility of the electronic paper, which can be achieved by the keypad and the keypad assembly, improves the click-feeling to a user when the button parts are pressed.
Abstract:
An integrated digitizer display is provided, which includes a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) substrate and a sensor electrode. A TFT and an organic light emitting layer are formed on a first surface of the TFT substrate, and the sensor electrode is formed on a second surface of the TFT substrate, where the second surface is opposite to the first surface.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device having a gas input barrier, which encapsulates a gas barrier layer through lamination and blocks the input of outside gas (moisture, water, oxygen, and the like) through further compression. The disclosed display device includes first and second gas barrier layers provided with an adhesive layer; a first gas input barrier provided at a lateral side of the first and second gas barrier layers to encapsulate the first and second gas barrier layers through lamination, and to block input of outside gas; and a second gas input barrier which is further compressed on the first gas input barrier by using a compression jig, and blocks an input path of the outside gas into the first gas input barrier.
Abstract:
To provide a rigid digitizer-integrated display module, the display module includes a display panel for forming an image, a digitizer module formed on the bottom side of the display panel to detect electromagnetic type digitizer input, and a non-magnetic metal structure enclosing the bottom sides of the mold frame and the digitizer and the outer periphery of the mold frame.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a keypad assembly and a method for manufacturing the keypad assembly in which a base film member and a button member of the keypad assembly are integrally formed. The keypad assembly includes a base film member, a button member integrally formed with the base film member, and a processed part formed by recessing a space between buttons keys of the button member in a predetermined depth to be spaced apart from the base film member, the processed part being formed on the base film member. The keypad assembly is manufactured such that the button member and the base film member to be recessed between a button key including a pattern of the button member and an adjacent button key in a predetermined depth of the base film member so as to form a processed part. Therefore, the button member can be formed through UV-molding and the press of the button member is simplified.
Abstract:
A keypad assembly using a waveguide for guiding lights emitted from light emitting devices is disclosed. The keypad assembly includes a switch board having a plurality of dome switches. The keypad also includes a plurality of key buttons; a plurality of light emitting devices included in the switch board; a waveguide formed under the key buttons, the waveguide having a predetermined refractive index to allow lights emitted from the light emitting devices to travel according to an internal total reflection condition; a plurality of reflecting patterns formed in the waveguide to reflect the light traveling through the waveguide toward the key buttons; and an auxiliary layer formed on the surface of the waveguide, the auxiliary layer having lower refractive index than that of the waveguide to make a constant total reflection condition.
