摘要: The techniques described employ a cooperative organization of network service providers to provide improved distributed network services. The network service providers that are constituent to the cooperative organization represent various perspectives within the overall Internet content distribution network, and may include network owners, telecommunications carriers, network access providers, hosting providers and distribution network owners, the latter being an entity that caches content at a plurality of locations distributed on the network. Aspects include managing content caches by receiving control signals specifying actions related to cached content that is distributed on a network, such as the Internet, and forwarding the control signals through to the caching locations to implement the actions represented by the control signals, thus providing content publishers the capability of refreshing their content regardless of where it is cached.

Aspects include managing content caches by receiving activity records that contain statistics related to requests for cached content, segregating the statistics according to which content publisher provides the content associated with the statistics, and providing to each content publisher statistics corresponding to content provided by that content publisher, thus allowing them to monitor requests for their content regardless of where it may be cached on the network.

摘要: A computerized method, program product, and a service that resolves the business problem by enabling an automated and simplified process to generate DDL and JAVA classes directly from a MOF definition. The method, program product, and service creates useful computing artifacts from a set of abstract and generic specifications described in the MOF format. The computing artifacts include a DDL database schema having tables that accurately reflect the object-oriented hierarchy of the objects described in the MOF format; JAVA classes that correspond to the objects defined in the MOF format; object-to-relational (O/R) mapping file that maps the JAVA classes and their attributes to the tables and columns in the DDL database schema; SQL insert statements for loading the data of enumerated list values into the tables and the JAVA classes; database design reports; and O/R name translation reference reports.

摘要: A laser system including a controller for monitoring and controlling various functions of a laser assembly. The laser controller may include a wavelength tuning circuit for adjusting and locking the wavelength of the external cavity. To perform various monitoring and control functions, the controller may include circuitry for monitoring various parameters associated with operation of the laser, such as temperature indicating signals and/or signals from light detectors such as photodiodes.

摘要: A method and apparatus for delivering a message to a caller prior to the moment the recipient unhooks or answers their telephone or other network interface device, as well as optionally delivering a message to the caller, the recipient, or both after the connection between the service provider and the caller, and/or the connection between the service provider and the recipient has been established. The method and apparatus are effective for use with all telecommunications systems, including, but not limited to, optical-based telephone systems, wire-based telephone systems, wireless telephone systems, optical-based computer network systems, wire-based computer network systems, wireless computer network systems, and heterogeneous network systems.
