    摘要: Systems, methods, and computer program products for management of data that is stored in a hierarchical format such as, e.g., a relational database, when the data is retrieved and manipulated using a schema-driven format such as, e.g., XML are disclosed. In one implementation a copy of the XML data retrieved from the database and is generated and each logical unit in at least one of the original XML data or the copy of the XML data is annotated in a manner that uniquely identifies each logical unit. For example, each XML node may be assigned a unique numerical or string identifier. As the data is manipulated, algorithms may be implemented to use the annotations to track changes to the XML data and to ensure that the manipulated XML data complies with one or more required data formats. When the XML data is ready to be transferred back to the database(s) from which it was obtained, a series of operations are implemented to validate the data and to determine the nature of operation to be performed to restore the data to the databases.

    摘要: An edge-lit panel features extractor patterns that produce uniform illumination. The effective density of extractor pattern pixels is adjusted to achieve uniform illumination. A method of adjusting the effective pixel density of extractor pattern pixels to achieve uniform illumination entails adjusting areas of darkness of a grayscale image, then producing a binary image by dithering the grayscale image, and applying an extractor pattern corresponding to the binary image to a surface of the panel. The extractor pixels correspond to pixels of the binary image derived from a dithered grayscale image, with the darkness of the grayscale image increasing with distance from the light source. Effective pixel density is increased to compensate for attenuated output in dim areas. By adjusting gray shading darkness of a grayscale image, pixel density can be adjusted to achieve uniform light emission. The extractor pixels may be applied using a radiation curable ink, which can be used in high speed inkjet printers that can achieve production speeds. The resulting print is waterproof, embossed and vibrant.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to utilizing contact data controls to simplify access to schematized contact data. Contact data controls abstract the formatting of schematized contact data from applications. In some embodiments, applications that lack the configuration to natively access schematized contact data (e.g., lack the functionality to convert between schematized and non-schematized data or are not authorized) forward requests to access schematized contact data to an external contact data control. In other embodiments, applications that lack the configuration to natively access schematized contact data forward non-schematized data, which is to be used to update schematized contact data, to an external contact data control. External contact data controls appropriately interact with the schematized data and can provide user-interface such that an application designer need not have extensive knowledge of contact schemas associated with the schematized contact data.
