摘要: The present disclosure relates to an inkjet printhead having a plurality of drop generators responsive to drive current and address signals for dispensing ink. The inkjet printhead includes first and second drop generators disposed on the printhead with each of the first and second drop generators configured to receive drive current from a drive current source. Each of the first and second drop generators is configured to receive address signals from a common address source. The inkjet printhead further includes a switching device connected between the common address source and each of the first and second drop generators. The switching device is responsive to enable signals for selectively providing the address signal to only one of the first and second drop generators.

摘要: A replaceable pump module for an ink-jet printer is configured to receive a replaceable ink supply including a reservoir having a fluid outlet. The replaceable pump module includes a variable volume chamber having a fluid inlet adapted to form a fluid connection with the fluid outlet of the ink supply reservoir. The variable volume chamber has a check valve which allows the flow of ink from the reservoir to the chamber and limits the flow of ink from the chamber to the reservoir. The replaceable pump module chamber also includes a fluid outlet. When the replaceable pump module is installed in a printer, the pump module fluid outlet establishes a fluid connection between the chamber and a fluid inlet of the printer. The chamber is part of a pump provided with the replaceable pump module that can be actuated to supply ink from the reservoir to the printer.

摘要: A replaceable ink cartridge for an ink jet printer having an ink supply station with an ink receptacle and an electric connector. The cartridge includes a chassis removable from the ink supply station, and having an ink passage and an electrical connector connectable to the printer's electric connector. An ink reservoir is removably connected to the chassis, and has a chamber containing a supply of ink. The reservoir has an ink outlet registered with the ink passage, and the chassis has an ink level annunciator connected to the cartridge's electrical connector, for generating a signal to enable printing after the ink reservoir is depleted and replaced with a second reservoir.

摘要: An ink cartridge has a body comprised of a plurality of wall panels that are resiliently hinged to adjacent wall panels. The wall panels define a cavity within the body for storing ink when the body is in a full configuration. The body collapses from the full configuration to an empty configuration as ink is removed from the body. The wall panels collapse inwardly about the hinges to lie flat against one another to reduce the cavity volume. A frame frames the plurality of wall panels of the body. The frame resiliently expands as the wall panels collapse flat together within the frame. The resilient expansion of the frame and the panel collapse about the hinges biases the body toward the full configuration.
