    摘要: A refueling arrangement for a direct oxidation fuel cell. A refueling cartridge includes a coupling which is geometrically keyed to a fueling port associated with the fuel cell. By properly engaging the coupling with the fueling port, a fuel flow path is opened which allows fuel to pass from the cartridge to the fuel cell. Disengaging the coupling from the fueling port closes the fuel flow path. Refueling is accomplished in rapid, trouble-free and safe manner.

    摘要: A simplified direct oxidation fuel cell system is provided. The fuel cell is constructed in such a manner that fuel is added to the cell anode as it is consumed and water is evaporated off at cell cathode so that there is no need for recirculation of unreacted fuel at the cell anode or water at the cell cathode. In addition, carbon dioxide generated from the anodic reaction is passively vented out of the system by using a CO2 gas permeable membrane material integrated as part of the anode chamber construction. It is thus possible that, the CO2 separation from the anode fluid occurs without the recirculation of the anode fluid outside the anode chamber. The passive system in which fuel is added as it is consumed and CO2 separated, both without pumping, ultimately will increase net power provided to the load due to low parasitic losses.

The fuel container and delivery apparatus includes a first flexible bladder containing fuel for a liquid feed fuel cell. The fuel container and delivery assembly is fitted with a pressure-applying element that exerts a continuous pressure upon the fuel-containing flexible bladder in such a manner that the fuel is expressed through a conduit in the container to the direct oxidation fuel cell. In addition, the assembly includes a second bladder that is provided to receive effluent from the fuel cell such as carbon dioxide and unreacted fuel and water from the anode side, and water from the cathode side, or a combination of both.

The fuel container and delivery assembly includes an inner flexible bladder containing fuel for a liquid feed fuel cell.     摘要: Disclosed are various wedges that may be used in a restrainer bracket of a jet pump assembly. The jet pump assembly may include a restrainer bracket having an upper bracket and a lower bracket connected to an inlet mixer. A wedge may be provided between the upper bracket and the lower bracket and a wedge rod may pass through a slotted hole of the wedge. Ends of the wedge rod may be attached to the upper and lower brackets. The restrainer bracket may further include a yolk-like member which surrounds the inlet mixer and is connected to a riser pipe. The wedge may include an inclined surface which is configured to engage with a restrainer bracket pad of the yolk-like member. The wedges may further include inner curved surfaces which contact the wedge rod and the inner curved surfaces may be part of an insert that may be inserted in the wedge.

An embodiment of the present invention may eliminate the need for welding the riser brace to the inlet riser. After installation, the riser brace clamp may lower the amplitude of, and/or change the frequency of, the vibration experienced by the inlet riser.

    摘要: A one-shot air purge apparatus for an inkjet cartridge for removing air accumulated within the cartridge. The inkjet cartridge comprises a print cartridge base and a replaceable ink receptacle. The replaceable ink receptacle comprises an ink supply coupled to an ink supply seal and a vacuum chamber coupled to an air purge seal. The print cartridge base comprises a printhead, a sub-receptacle coupled to the printhead and an ink supply needle which has an eyelet, an air pocket reserve in which the air accumulates coupled to an air purge needle that has an eyelet. The ink supply needle eyelet is coupled to the ink supply seal before the air purge needle eyelet is coupled to the air purge seal of the vacuum chamber.
