摘要: An electronic apparatus includes a main body and an optional device detachably connected thereto via two connectors each having multiple signal terminals corresponding to various signals. The main body includes a connection confirmation unit that confirms that a specific signal terminal in the multiple signal terminals of each connector is connected; a request-signal generating unit that sends a request signal from the main body to the optional device via a signal terminal other than the specific signal terminal when connection of the specific signal terminal is confirmed by the connection confirmation unit, and requests a reply signal from the optional device; and a communication confirmation unit that determines that the two connectors of the main body and the optional device are connected when confirming that the reply signal is received via the signal terminal other than the specific signal terminal.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor memory device includes a first conductive line, a second conductive line, a rectifying element, a switching element, a first side wall film and a second side wall film. The first conductive line extends in a first direction. The second conductive line extends in a second direction crossing the first direction. The rectifying element is connected between the first and second conductive lines. The switching element is connected in series with the rectifying element between the first and second conductive lines. The first side wall film is formed on a side surface of the rectifying element. The second side wall film is formed on a side surface of at least one of the first and second conductive lines. At least one of a film type and a film thickness of the second side wall film is different from that of the first side wall film.

摘要: A main body control part of an image forming device switches select signals to a unicast mode by a communication mode switching part at least when stopping a recording paper that is being transported on a paper feeding path or when transporting a recording paper stopped on the paper feeding path, and switches the select signals to the broadcast mode after transmitting control data. Each of the paper feeding control parts executes a paper feeding control based on the control data received with the unicast mode, upon detecting the broadcast mode.

摘要: An information collecting/providing system provides information in a manner that allows information to be easily registered, viewed, developed, and reused, even when a large amount of various kinds of information is collected and dealt with. The information collecting/providing system includes one or more terminal devices, an information collection/management apparatus connectable to the one or more terminal devices via a communication network, and an collected-information database connected to the information collection/management apparatus. The information collection/management apparatus receives collected information from the one or more terminal devices and stores the received information into the collected-information database. If the information collection/management apparatus receives a request from a terminal device, the information collection/management apparatus transmits, to the terminal device, collected information allowed for a user of the terminal device to read.

摘要: To provide a human attribute estimation system capable of improving estimation accuracy irrespective of an environment-dependent attribute is provided. An age/gender estimation system as a human attribute estimation system is provided with: a monitoring camera photographing a human targeted by attribute estimation and generating an image; an age/gender estimating section estimating an attribute of the human shown in the image generated by the monitoring camera using an estimation parameter; and an environment-dependent attribute specifying section specifying an environment-dependent attribute, which is an attribute dependent on an installation environment of the monitoring camera. The age/gender estimating section uses a parameter generated on the basis of learning data having an environment-dependent attribute within a predetermined distance from the environment-dependent attribute acquired by the environment-dependent attribute specifying section in an environment-dependent attribute space, as the estimation parameter.
