摘要: An electronic watch including a watch circuit and display is provided which additionally includes an automatic time indication modifier. The modifier comprises a receiver, a filter for passing only that component of the signal from the receiver which has the same frequency as a time announcement signal, a pulse height discriminator for converting an output signal of the filter into a bi-level signal in accordance with the magnitude of the output signal above a threshold level, a time announcement pattern discrimination circuit responsive to the bi-level signal from the discriminator to determine the presence of a time announcement pattern on the basis of the duration of and the time interval between the bi-level signals, and a "seconds" indication modifying and control circuit for modifying a "seconds" indication of the watch in response to an output signal from the discrimination circuit.

摘要: A thin image display device having a resin interposed between an image display unit and a protection member having a light-shielding member is manufactured. In the manufactured image display device, display defects caused by the deformation of the image display unit do not occur, and high-brightness and high-contrast display can be achieved. In addition, the resin in the area where the light-shielding member is formed can be sufficiently cured. The method for manufacturing an image display device includes the step of forming a cured resin layer by interposing a photo-curable resin composition between a base including the image display unit and a light-transmitting protection member including a light-shielding member and then photo-curing the photo-curable resin composition. In this method, a resin composition having a curing shrinkage ratio of 5% or less, yielding a cured product having a storage elastic modulus at 25° C. of 1.0×107 Pa or less, and forming the cured resin layer having a light transmittance of 90% or more in a visible range is used as the photo-curable resin composition. The photo-curable resin composition is photo-cured by irradiating it with rays of light at least from an outer side surface with respect to a forming surface of the light-shielding member.

摘要: It is possible to manufacture a highly reliable image display device capable of proceeding with resin cure even in the case where a protective panel is provided with a light shielding portion.A liquid crystal display unit 2 having a liquid crystal display panel 8 and a light transmissive protective panel 3 having a light shielding portion 5 are disposed face to face, a resin composition 10 is interposed between the liquid crystal display unit and the protective panel, and the resin composition is cured into a cured resin layer 11. As the resin composition 10, a light-heat-curing resin composition and containing a photopolymerization initiator and organic peroxide of thermal polymerization initiator is used. In curing the resin composition 10, cure by light (ultraviolet rays) irradiation is performed until a cure ratio of the resin composition becomes 30% or more and thereafter thermal cure is performed.

摘要: A linearizer circuit comprises a frequency mixer which mixes a first frequency varying in accordance with a change in a parameter and a second frequency from a reference oscillator which has no dependence upon any parameter at a given proportion, and a derivation circuit for producing an output pulse corresponding to the average period of an output from the mixer, thus providing a linearized output for the parameter. The linearizer circuit may be assembled into a watch as means to detect the environmental temperature of the watch. By detecting temperature information with this means, a temperature compensation of a clock signal may be achieved in accordance with a temperature offset from a reference temperature.
