摘要： A method for providing two or more broadcast services in an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of separately receiving broadcast services to be transmitted, and independently performing coding, interleaving and modulation on the broadcast services according to a required quality for each of the broadcast services; segmenting each of the modulated broadcast signals into minimum transmission units; time-division-multiplexing the segmented broadcast service signals; configuring a frame comprising information on the broadcast service in physical layer transmission information transmitted together with the broadcast service; and transmitting the frame.

摘要： An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service. A transmission processor generates a modulated symbol by encoding, interleaving and modulating a physical layer packet to be transmitted, and arranges the modulated symbol in a data tone. A tone inserter inserts a guard tone and a pilot tone into the data tone. A tone power allocator sets a different pilot-to-data tone power ratio according to a position of a slot, in which the packet data symbol is included, and allocates power according to the pilot-to-data tone power ratio. A transmitter transmits the packet data symbol.

摘要： A reduced slot cycle (RSC) mode control method is provided for observing a paging slot by a mobile station to receive a message transmitted from a base station in a mobile communication system. The method includes the steps of determining at least one parameter related to an operation time of the RSC mode and the number of operation periods where the mobile station operate with different slot cycle indexes (SCIs), through an exchange of at least one message with the base station, calculating a per-SCI operation time in the RSC mode operation time using the determined parameter, and starting the RSC mode, setting a reduced slot cycle index (RSCI) as an initial value of the SCI determined between the mobile station and the base station, wherein the RSCI has a value smaller than an SCI value of an idle state, increasing the SCI value step by step each time the SCI operation time of slot period arrives, and terminating the RSC mode if the increased SCI value reaches the SCI value of the idle state.
