    摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for suggesting search queries based on location. One of the methods includes determining a current location of the user. A selection of the user's past search queries is generated, where each past search query in the selection is associated with a query location related to the query. A respective score is assigned to each past search query in the selection. The score for each query is based at least in part on the proximity of the current location to the query location of the query. One or more of the past search queries in the selection are provided for presentation to the user on the user's electronic device based on the assigned scores.

    摘要: A universal data object discovery system automatically identifies candidate universal data objects, ranks the candidate universal data objects according to predetermined criteria, and merges source schemas into unified universal data objects within a set of data sources. From data inputs and a set of control parameters, the system computes a degree of sharing score for composite structures in the source schemas. The data inputs comprise source schemas, similarity values for data structures, and foreign key relationships. The system identifies as candidate universal data objects those structures whose degree of sharing score exceeds a threshold. The system calculates a similarity between candidate universal data objects and merges candidate universal data objects that are similar. The merged universal data objects are the output of the system.

The present invention utilizes a combination of popularity and/or relevancy to determine a search ranking for a given search result association. Given the exponential growth rate currently being experienced in the Internet community, the present invention provides one of the few methods by which searches of this vast distributed database can produce useful results ranked and sorted by usefulness to the searching web surfer. The present invention permits embodiments incorporating a Ranking System/Method (0100) further comprising a Session Manager (0101), Query Manager (0102), Popularity Sorter (0103), and Association (0104) functions. These components may be augmented in some preferred embodiments via the use of a Query Entry means (0155), Search Engine (0156); Data Repository (0157), Query Database (0158), and/or a Resource List (0159).

A portable RFID reader scans for nearby tags, and a universal RFID tag detects nearby readers. The invention can alert the user of nearby RFID tags or readers, unless the user has disabled the alerting feature or unless a particular tag or reader is already known to the user and has been deemed allowable. A memory includes editable lists of allowable tags and readers. Exemplary alerts include outputs from a sound emitter, a vibrator, a light, or a display readout. The invention thus prevents surreptitious identification and tracking of a user and a user's possessions. The invention may be integrated into items typically carried by users so that the detection and alerting may be performed without outward indication.

    摘要: A pattern-based data matching system matches pattern-based data. The data matching system generates a regular expression pattern for input datasets and describes similarity measures between the generated patterns. The data matching system analyzes an input dataset in terms of symbol classes, generalizing input values into a general pattern to allow identification or extrapolation of overlap between input datasets, aiding in matching fields in databases that are being merged and in learning a pattern for an input dataset. For each sequence of data values, the present system computes a compact pattern describing the sequence. Embodiments of the data matching system comprise noise reduction and repetitive pattern discovery in the input dataset and calculation of recall and precision of the generated pattern.
