Abstract: A method of manufacturing a tissue interface for a reduced pressure tissue treatment system is provided. The method includes foaming a plurality of polymer particles to form a porous polymer. The method also includes sintering the porous polymer to form a sintered porous polymer. The method further includes texturing the sintered porous polymer. A system to provide reduced pressure at a tissue site is provided. The system includes a cover configured to form a seal over the tissue site. The system also includes a reduced-pressure source configured to provide reduced pressure through the cover at the tissue site. The system further includes a tissue interface configured to be disposed underneath the cover at the tissue site and comprising a porous polymer that is formed from one or more polymer particles that may be foamed and textured.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a dressing for disrupting debris in a tissue site may comprise a manifold having a first face and a second face. The dressing may also include a plurality of surface features formed from a compressible material. The plurality of surface features may define channels on at least the first face of the manifold. The channels may receive tissue in response to the application of negative pressure. In another example embodiment, a system for softening tissue at a tissue site may include a contact layer. The contact layer may include at least two concentric edges and at least one frangible strut mechanically coupling the concentric edges. The concentric edges and the frangible strut may define through-holes in the contact layer. The through-holes in the contact layer may have an open area in a range of about 0.25 square centimeters to about 15 square centimeters.

Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to dressings with regions with different adhesive properties, and manufacture and use thereof. An illustrative dressing includes a first region including a first adhesive material. The first adhesive material has a first tackiness. The dressing further includes at least a second region including a second adhesive material. The second adhesive material has a second tackiness in a first phase and a third tackiness in a second phase. The third tackiness is greater than the second tackiness. The first adhesive material is configured to maintain the first tackiness when the second adhesive material in the second phase.

Abstract: Dressings for treating a tissue site with negative pressure are disclosed, which may include a dressing having multiple layers and incorporating a material adapted to neutralize proteolytic enzymes. In one example embodiment, a dressing may include a first layer comprising a hydrophobic gel having a plurality of apertures. A material adapted to neutralize proteolytic enzymes may be applied to a surface of the first layer. The dressing may further include a second layer comprising a fenestrated film and coupled to the first layer. Additionally, the dressing may include a third layer comprising a manifold, which in some instances may be a polymeric foam. The dressing may further include a fourth layer comprising a polymer drape.
