Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to therapy devices including pumps that are operable in multiple operating modes. An exemplary wound therapy device includes a pump configured to be worn by a user and a controller coupled to the pump and configured to transition the pump from operating in a first operating mode to operating in a second operating mode responsive to a pressure of the wound therapy device satisfying a first pressure threshold. The first operating mode is associated with a first drive voltage that is different from a second drive voltage associated with the second operating mode.

Abstract: A low-profile dressing interface or connector may comprise at least two side-by-side fluid pathways fluidly coupled to a recessed space of the connector, one for providing negative pressure to a tissue interface and the other for sensing negative pressure within the recessed space adjacent the tissue interface. The apparatus may comprise a top layer having a plurality of closed cells with tapered sidewalls. The apparatus may also comprise a base layer forming a sealed space between the top layer and the base layer. The base layer may further include a plurality of closed cells having tapered sidewalls. The apparatus may then further comprise a barrier coupled between the top layer and the base layer to form two fluid pathways within the sealed space.

Abstract: A dressing interface for connecting a negative-pressure source to a dressing may have a coupling member comprising an aperture, a first adhesive region having a first region peel strength, and a second adhesive region having a second region peel strength less than the first region peel strength. The dressing interface may further have a flange coupled to the coupling member, and a conduit housing coupled to the flange and extending through the aperture in the contact layer.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing negative pressure to a tissue site are disclosed. Illustrative embodiments may include an apparatus or system for delivering negative-pressure to a tissue site, which can be used in conjunction with low-profile distribution components for wound therapy. Such apparatus may include a low-profile dressing interface or connector comprising at least two fluid pathways fluidly coupled to a recessed space of the connector, one for providing negative pressure to a tissue interface or manifold and the other for sensing the negative pressure within the recessed space adjacent the tissue interface. In some embodiments, a pressure-offloading layer may be disposed against at least one of the fluid pathways. The pressure-offloading layer may comprise a polymeric foam to distribute compressive forces being applied to the dressing interface, thereby enhancing resistance of the fluid pathways to collapsing and blockage when the dressing interface is subject to external compression. In some embodiments, two pressure-offloading layers may be utilized.

Abstract: In some illustrative examples, a bridge suitable for treating a tissue site may include a bridge sealing member and one or more bridge wicking layers. The bridge sealing member may extend along a length of the bridge, and may define an internal passageway in fluid communication between a receiving end of the bridge and a transmitting end of the bridge. The one or more bridge wicking layers may be disposed within the internal passageway of the bridge sealing member. Other apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Apparatuses and dressing components for tissue treatment with negative pressure and methods of making and using the dressings and dressing components are disclosed. For example, an apparatus for managing fluid from a tissue site may comprise at least two fluid pathways formed along the length of the apparatus. The apparatus may have at least one hinge line spanning along the length of the apparatus between at the at least two fluid pathways, and the apparatus may be curved about the hinge line. Some examples of the apparatus may comprise multiple layers assembled in a stacked relationship, which may be bonded together using weld lines to define at least two fluid pathways along the length of the apparatus. In some examples, the apparatus may be curved about the weld lines.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may relate to devices, systems, and methods for providing negative-pressure therapy simultaneously to a plurality of tissue sites using a single negative-pressure source. For example, a fluid bridge may comprise a plurality of distal ends, each configured to interact fluidly with a tissue site. In some embodiments, each distal end may have an aperture. The bridge may also comprise a port for entry of negative pressure into the enclosed space of the bridge. In some embodiments, each distal end may comprise a one-way valve. The enclosed space of the fluid pathway between the distal ends and the port may be supported in some embodiments, to prevent collapse due to negative pressure and/or compression.
