摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing negative pressure to a tissue site are disclosed. Illustrative embodiments may include an apparatus or system for delivering negative-pressure to a tissue site, which can be used in conjunction with low-profile distribution components for wound therapy. Such apparatus may include a low-profile dressing interface or connector comprising at least two side-by-side fluid pathways fluidly coupled to a recessed space of the connector, one for providing negative pressure to a tissue interface or manifold and the other for sensing the negative pressure within the recessed space adjacent the tissue interface. In some embodiments, for example, the apparatus may comprise a first layer of polymeric film having an outer surface, an inner surface, and a plurality of features extending from the inner surface, and a second layer of polymeric film coupled to the first layer. The second layer may have an outer, tissue-facing surface and an inner surface coupled to the first layer and covering the plurality of features to form an enclosed space with the inner surface of the first layer and a plurality of flow channels within the enclosed space. The second layer also includes an aperture defining the recessed space adapted to fluidly coupling the enclosed space to the tissue interface.

摘要: Systems, methods and devices are provided for use in a negative pressure wound therapy system for healing a wound in a patient. Various aspects may include an ester-based material adapted to be directly applied to the wound, such as a smooth muscle fistula, without substantially damaging tissue in the wound during dressing changes. The ester-based material may have an affinity for the wound bed surface and/or wound fluid. In addition, various aspects may include a device adapted to close the wound, such as a smooth muscle fistula.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments relate to a wound dressing which can generate nitric oxide. The wound dressing may include a cover layer, an activator layer such as an acid providing layer and nitric oxide source layer, such as a nitrite providing layer. The activator layer may include acidic groups and may be hydrogel, xerogel, or other suitable material. The nitric oxide source layer may include a nitrite salt. Nitrite ions of the nitric oxide source layer may react with the acidic groups of the activating layer to generate nitric oxide. The activating layer may include a window at the center, and a central absorbent material may be positioned at the window. Various separating layers may also be incorporated into the dressing to control the interaction between activating layer and nitric oxide source layer.

摘要: A system for providing a force to a desired area on a curved body part of a person includes a dressing assembly shaped and configured to be placed on the desired area of the person, a releaseable circumferential member surrounding the curved body part that holds the dressing assembly against the desired area, a sealing subsystem for providing a fluid seal over the dressing assembly and the person's skin, and a reduced-pressure subsystem for providing a reduced pressure to the dressing assembly. When reduced pressure is supplied, the system generates the force against the desired area on the curved body part.
