Abstract: This invention relates to a light guide plate and a backlight unit, and more particularly, to a light guide plate and a backlight unit, wherein the light guide plate includes a light incident part to which light is incident from a light source located at a lateral side of the light guide plate and which is imparted with patterns, in which the patterns are formed such that a pattern-dense region and a pattern-sparse region are periodically repeated, and the pattern density between the pattern-dense region and the pattern-sparse region varies in a gradation, thus increasing luminance uniformity without affecting the luminance.
