A first hardware processor included in a server determines one or more candidate apparatuses, which are candidates for being information processing apparatuses that execute a distribution process, based on performance of hardware resources, determines that an apparatus, which responds to an inquiry about whether the distribution process is executable, among the one or more candidate apparatuses is a proxy apparatus, and requests the proxy apparatus to execute the distribution process, and a second hardware processor included in each of a plurality of information processing apparatuses, in response to an inquiry about whether the distribution process is executable from the server, determines whether the distribution process is executable based on a margin of the hardware resources, and in the case where it is determined that the distribution process is executable, responds to the inquiry about whether the distribution process is executable.

A device for reproducing guidance on a task including a plurality of steps is provided. The device includes an input device with which a user selects from which position of the guidance is to be reproduced; and a player configured to, where a designated step corresponding to the position selected by the user from among the steps is a particular step, jump a playback progress to the position selected to play the guidance, the particular step being an initial step of steps having not yet been performed completely, and, where the designated step is not the particular step, jump the playback progress to a position of the particular step to play the guidance.

A system for reproducing guidance on a task including a plurality of steps is provided. The system includes a hardware processor; and an output device configured to output an image or audio; wherein the hardware processor determines a completed step of the steps based on a change in state of a target on which the task is to be performed, the completed step being a step which has been completed, and the hardware processor causes the output device to reproduce an unfinished part in a first form where a predetermined condition is not satisfied, and causes the output device to reproduce the unfinished part in a second form different from the first form where the predetermined condition is satisfied, the unfinished part being a part corresponding to an unfinished step which is not determined to have been completed among the steps.

An image processing apparatus containing a web server is provided. The image processing apparatus regularly notifies a web browser of an operation instruction. When it is determined that setting processing of a set value for an operation of the image processing apparatus is attached, whether or not there is a set value saved on the web browser is checked. When it is confirmed that there is a set value saved on the web browser, the web browser is caused to transmit the set value to the image processing apparatus. When the set value transmitted from the web browser is reflected on the image processing apparatus, the set value saved on the web browser is deleted.

An image forming apparatus includes: a hardware processor that detects multiple files stored in the external storage when an external storage is installed to the image forming apparatus, determines a scan order of each of the multiple files detected by the hardware processor, and scans each of the multiple files for viruses in the scan order; and an acceptor that accepts a print instruction for a file stored in the external storage, wherein the hardware processor determines whether it is necessary to execute virus scanning on a print target file before printing depending on whether the hardware processor has completed virus scanning on the print target file, which is the file for which the print instruction has been accepted by the acceptor.

Each of the plurality of information processing apparatuses includes a security information storage that stores security information, and a second hardware processor that executes a process using any of the stored security information, acquires new security information corresponding to security information to which the reference date and time, which the current date and time have passed, correspond, transmits a preparation completion notification to the management server, and in response to reception of the update instruction from the management server, updates the security information with the new security information.
