There is provided an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing fluctuation of sensor output. The image forming apparatus includes a photosensor and a hardware processor. The photosensor has a layered structure in which a surface layer is laminated on a base material layer, irradiates a surface of an image bearing member on which a toner image is formed with detection light on the basis of a predetermined detection condition, and receives reflected light of the detection light reflected from the surface of the image bearing member. The hardware processor controls at least a dominant wavelength of the photosensor among the predetermined detection conditions such that light interference and dark interference are included in the reflected light, and controls a toner adhesion amount onto the image bearing member on the basis of an output of the photosensor.

An image forming apparatus that forms an output image corresponding to input image data on an image carrier by superimposing toner images of colors, includes a hardware processor that: detects color information of the output image for every pixel region; converts color information of the input image data for every pixel region and color information of the output image for every pixel region into indexes which define colors in predetermined color space coordinates; extracts a pixel region in which the color information of the output image is different from the color information of the input image data, and corrects the color information of the input image data with respect to the extracted pixel region; and stores the color information of the input image data as data for calibration in combination with the color information of the output image and image :forming conditions when forming the output image.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image, which is desired by a user and different from a predetermined pattern, on a sheet; an output information detector that detects output information on a first image formed on a first sheet by the image former; and a hardware processor that: acquires an correction amount of a third image, which is formed on a third sheet after the first sheet and a second sheet, according to a detection result of the first image by the output information detector and image information on a second image formed on the second sheet after the first sheet by the image former; and controls the image former so as to correct the third image based on the correction amount acquired by the hardware processor.
Abstract:
In image-checking equipment, a detector reads a line-shaped check image formed on a sheet and acquires image data on the check image. A controller calculates an edge blur in a rising edge and a falling edge of the image data, calculates a line width of the check image. The controller refers to a correction table with the measured values of the edge blur and the line width of the check image, and acquires a corrected line width value based on the correction table to obtain the real line width of the check image.
