Abstract: An image forming system includes: a density detecting section that detects the density of a toner image formed on an image bearing member by an image forming section, the density being detected as an output image density; a hardware processor which performs; tone correction in accordance with input-output characteristics data indicating the relationship between an input image density and an output image density, the input image density being the image density of a tone component included in the input image data, the output image density being detected by the density detecting section in accordance with the tone component; determining whether there is a missing tone component in the input image data; and complementing the input-output characteristics data corresponding to a missing tone component, when it is determined that there is the missing tone component.

Abstract: A distance between a reference position and a reference image of a sheet is accurately measured without adding a special device even when an attitude of the sheet is not stable. An aspect of the present invention obtains image data by reading a sheet surface formed with the reference image such as a trim mark by a reading portion. A height calculation portion calculates edge-blur amounts of the reference position and the reference image on the sheet surface from the image data. Furthermore, a height calculation portion detects heights from a focus position to the sheet surface for the reference position and the reference image, from the edge-blur amount and a reflected light amount of a white solid portion. Moreover, a distance detection portion calculates a distance between the reference position and the reference image on the sheet surface, on the basis of a detection result.

Abstract: There is provided an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing fluctuation of sensor output. The image forming apparatus includes a photosensor and a hardware processor. Abstract: In an image-forming apparatus such as a printer, the controller judges whether or not a determination processing of fixity saturation state is performed to determine the fixing condition in which the image density of the patch is the fixity saturation state. The controller then performs the determination processing of fixity saturation state when the use condition is changed. The controller settles fixing conditions in which the image density of patch is highest as the set value when the image density of the patch is saturated. Next, the controller performs a toner adhesion amount adjustment using an intermediate transfer belt. A target value of the toner adhesion amount on the intermediate transfer belt corresponding to the target image density is set and then, an optimal developing voltage that is the set target value is set. After the toner adhesion amount adjustment, the controller performs fixity adjustment.
