摘要: An object is to provide a novel polycyclic aromatic compound and an organic electroluminescent element using the same. By providing a novel polycyclic aromatic compound having a diarylamino group and having a plurality of aromatic rings linked to each other via a boron atom, an oxygen atom, or the like, options of a material for an organic EL element are increased. In addition, by using the novel polycyclic aromatic compound as a material for an organic electroluminescent element, an excellent organic EL element is provided.

摘要: By manufacturing an organic EL element using a material for a light emitting layer including a pyrene-based compound represented by the following formula (2) as a host material and a polycyclic aromatic compound in which a plurality of aromatic rings is linked with a boron atom and a nitrogen atom or an oxygen atom as a dopant material, an organic EL element having, for example, excellent light emission efficiency is provided. In the above formula (2), at least one hydrogen atom in a pyrene moiety may be substituted by an aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms or the like. Ar represents an aryl having 14 to 40 carbon atoms or a heteroaryl having 12 to 40 carbon atoms. These groups may be substituted by an aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms or the like. s and p each independently represent an integer of 1 or 2. s and p do not simultaneously represent 2. One or more hydrogen atoms in a compound represented by formula (2) may be each independently substituted by a halogen atom, cyano, or a deuterium atom.

摘要: The objective of the invention is to provide a polycyclic aromatic compound in which solubility to a solvent, film formability, wet coatability, thermal stability, and in-plane orientation are improved. This objective is achieved by a light emission layer-forming composition comprising: as a first component, at least one type of dopant material selected from the group consisting of polycyclic aromatic compounds represented by general formula (A) and polycyclic aromatic oligomer compounds including a plurality of structures represented by general formula (A); as a second component, a specific low-molecular-weight host material; and, as a third component, at least one type of organic solvent. In formula (A), ring A, ring B, and ring C each independently represent an aryl ring or a hetero aryl ring, Y1 is B, and X1 and X2 each independently represent O or N—R wherein at least one of X1 and X2 is N—R.

摘要: With a light-emission-layer material comprising: a novel polycyclic aromatic compound (1) or a multimer thereof in which a plurality of aromatic rings are linked by a boron atom and a nitrogen atom; and a specific anthracene-based compound (3) that achieves optimum light-emission characteristics in combination with said polycyclic aromatic compound or a multimer thereof, it is possible to provide an organic EL element having optimum light-emission characteristics. Ring A to ring C are an aryl ring or the like, Y1 represents B, X1 and X2 represent N—R, R of the N—R is an aryl or the like, and Ar3 and Ar4 are a hydrogen atom, a phenyl, a group represented by formula (4), or the like.

摘要: A polycyclic aromatic compound represented by general formula (1) described below and having a bulky substituent in a molecule is used as a material for an organic device, whereby, for example, an organic EL device excellent in quantum efficiency can be provided. In particular, concentration quenching can be suppressed even if a use concentration is comparatively high, and therefore the present art is advantageous in a device production process.
In formula (1) described above, R1, R3, R4 to R7, R8 to R11 and R12 to R15 are independently hydrogen, aryl or the like, X1 is —O— or >N—R (R is aryl or the like), Z1 and Z2 are a bulky substituent such as aryl, and at least one hydrogen in the compound represented by formula (1) may be replaced by halogen or deuterium.
