    Abstract: Press-fitting the bus-bar into the connection terminal while improving reliability.
    In the rotary electric machine, the connection terminal comprises a terminal fixing portion fixed to the circuit board and held by the terminal holder, and a terminal connection portion arranged on the other side in the first direction with respect to the terminal fixing portion and for press-fitting the bus-bar. The terminal connection portion is arranged separately from the circuit board on the lower side. In the connection terminal, the connecting portion connecting the terminal fixing portion and the terminal connection portion is configured to be bendable and deformable vertically. This allows the terminal connection portion to be displaced when a press-fitting load above predetermined value is input to the terminal connection portion. Thus, since the press-fitting load is used as a load that bends and deforms the connecting portion, the load transmitted to the terminal fixing portion is reducible.

    Abstract: Increase the heat dissipation effect of the heat sink on the heat generating element.
    In the rotary electric machine, the portions of the circuit board that are installed in the first and the second installation portion of the heat-sink are configured as non-coated portions, and the non-coated portion is not coated with resist. Therefore, the circuit board can be installed in the first and the second installation portion of the heat-sink without being affected by the variation in the film thickness of the resist. Thus, the gap between the FET mounted on the circuit board and the first to third heat dissipating portion of the heat-sink can be set as small as possible. Therefore, the heat generated by the FET can be efficiently transferred to the heat-sink. As described above, the heat dissipation effect of the heat-sink on the FET can be enhanced.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to hold a holding member appropriately in a casing.
    A rotary electric machine includes a rotor having a drive shaft, a stator provided on an outer periphery of the rotor, a bearing B2 that rotatably supports the drive shaft, a holding member that contains an aluminum alloy member and holds the bearing, and a casing that houses the rotor, the stator, the bearing, and the holding member. The casing is made of a member that does not grow permanently or an aluminum alloy member that is permanently grown when the holding member is fixed to the casing. The holding member is in a state before permanent growth before being fixed in the casing, and the holding member grows permanently to be fixed more firmly to the casing.

    Abstract: In the rotary electric machine, the circuit board is divided into a first substrate portion fixed to the heat sink and a second substrate portion to which one end of first to third terminals are soldered, in the first direction. Here, the heat sink is formed with first and second recesses and a step portion separated upward from the second substrate portion, and displacement of the second substrate portion in the plate thickness direction is allowed. Thus, in the event that the first to third terminals are displaced vertically with respect to the circuit board when the environmental temperature of the rotary electric machine 10 changes, since the second substrate portion is displaced in the vertical direction following the first to third terminals, the stress generated in the soldered portion between the first to third terminals and the second substrate portion can be relaxed for enhanced reliability.
