    Abstract: A communication control method according to one embodiment is used in a mobile communication system. The communication control method comprises a step A of predicting, by a UE, a radio condition within a second period after connection between the UE and a eNB is established, in a first period for which the connection is not established, and a step B of performing, by the UE, a random access procedure for establishing the connection. The step B includes a step of performing notification of information on the predicted radio condition from the UE to the eNB in the random access procedure. The information is used, by the eNB, for controlling communication with the UE.

    Abstract: A radio terminal includes a receiver configured to receive a counting request, the counting request requesting transmission of a counting response from a plurality of radio terminals that are receiving a specific MBMS service or interested in the reception of the specific MBMS service, and a common resource setting from a network, the common resource setting indicating a common resource pool to be commonly used by the plurality of radio terminals for the transmission of the counting response; a controller configured to determine whether or not the radio terminal is receiving the specific MBMS service or interested in the reception thereof in response to receiving the counting request; and a transmitter configured to transmit the counting response to the network by using a radio resource included in the common resource pool in response to the determination that the radio terminal is receiving the specific MBMS service or interested in the reception thereof.

    Abstract: A radio base station according to an embodiment is a radio base station configured to use a specific frequency band which includes a plurality of component carriers having a predetermined bandwidth and which is allowed to be utilized by a plurality of network operators or a plurality of communication systems. The radio base station comprises: a controller configured to select, from among the plurality of component carriers, a target component carrier in which a reference signal used in the specific frequency band should be transmitted; and a transmitter configured to use the target component carrier to transmit the reference signal. The controller selects, as the target component carrier, a first component carrier that satisfies a first condition. The first condition is that an interference power amount falls below a predetermined threshold value.

    Abstract: A mobile communication method for performing predetermined communication between a base station and a user terminal by using a narrow band including 6 resource blocks comprises: transmitting, from the base station to the user terminal, narrow band allocation information allocating a predetermined number of the narrow bands to the user terminal as allocation information of the narrow band used for the predetermined communication; performing by the user terminal, the predetermined communication by using the predetermined number of narrow bands based on the narrow band allocation information; transmitting, from the base station to the user terminal, an RRC message including information specifying a bandwidth supportable by the user terminal; and changing, by the base station, a number of bits of the narrow band allocation information according to the bandwidth supportable by the user terminal. The predetermined number of narrow bands are provided within a bandwidth supportable by the user terminal.

    Abstract: A user equipment receives an MBMS service provided using SC-PTM transmission. The user equipment performs a cell reselection operation of selecting a cell to be used as a serving cell of the user equipment while the user equipment is in an RRC idle mode. In the cell reselection operation, the user equipment selects, as the serving cell, a cell having a highest ranking determined based on a radio quality and an offset from among a plurality of cells. In the cell reselection operation, when the user equipment is in an enhanced coverage, the user equipment uses an infinite offset as the offset to be applied to a cell where the MBMS service is provided by the SC-PTM transmission, in response to a predetermined condition for the SC-PTM transmission being satisfied, when the user equipment goes out of the enhanced coverage, stop using the infinite offset.
