    Abstract: A mobile communication method is a mobile communication method for performing communication between a base station and a user terminal by using a narrow band having a predetermined bandwidth. The mobile communication method comprises: a step of performing, by the user terminal, first communication related to control information by using a first narrow band in an n-th subframe; and a step of performing, by the user terminal, second communication related to user data by using a second narrow band different from the first narrow band in an (n+1)-th subframe. A symbol time region at an end of the n-th subframe and/or a symbol time region at a head of the (n+1)-th subframe are non-used regions provided for the user terminal to switch from the first narrow band to the second narrow band.

    Abstract: A radio terminal according to one embodiment comprises a processor. The processor is configured to: forward a data unit from an RLC layer to a MAC layer prior to receiving an uplink grant from a base station; receive the uplink grant for determining a predetermined transport block size from the base station; generate a transport block by performing concatenation or segmentation on the data unit according to the predetermined transport block size in the MAC layer; and transmit the generated transport block to the base station via a PHY layer. The processor is configured to receive TBS information indicating a minimum guaranteed value of a transport block size from the base station. The predetermined transport block size is a value equal to or larger than the minimum guaranteed value.

    Abstract: A user equipment as a pedestrian user equipment (UE) performs P2X communication that is a direct inter-terminal communication with another user equipment. The user equipment receives a message including a resource pool from a base station. When the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) idle state, determines whether or not the message include a resource pool for the P2X communication. In accordance with a determination that the message does not include the resource pool for the P2X communication, transitions from the RRC idle state to an RRC connected state for requesting a radio resource for the P2X communication to the base station.

    Abstract: A communication method according to an embodiment comprises: a step of performing, by a user terminal, a reselection of a target cell to be used as a serving cell from among a plurality of cells operated at different frequencies. The step of performing the reselection of the target cell comprises: a first reselection step of performing, by the user terminal, the reselection of the target cell in a response to reception of a paging signal for requesting the reselection of the target cell from a current serving cell; and a second reselection step of performing, by the user terminal, the reselection of the target cell in a response to a trigger without dependence on the paging signal. In the first reselection step, the user terminal starts measurement of a quality of a measurement target frequency included in system information broadcast from the current serving cell, in response to the reception of the paging signal.
