    Abstract: A triphenylamine derivative is represented by general formula (1). In general formula (1), R1 to R7 each represent, independently of one another, a chemical group selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 1 and no greater than 6, an optionally substituted alkoxy group having a carbon number of at least 1 and no greater than 6, and an optionally substituted aryl group having a carbon number of at least 6 and no greater than 12. Also, k, l, m, n, o, and p each represent, independently of one another, an integer of at least 0 and no greater than 4. When any of k, l, m, n, o, or p represents an integer greater than 1, chemical groups R3, R4, R5, R6, or R7 bonded to the same aromatic ring may be the same or different.

    Abstract: In a positively chargeable single-layer electrophotographic photosensitive member, a photosensitive layer contains at least a hole transport material, and particles of a first resin. A compound represented by general formula (1) is contained as the hole transport material. In the general formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 2 and no greater than 4. R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 each represent, independently of one another, a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 1 and no greater than 4. Ar1 and Ar2 each represent, independently of each other, a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted aryl group having a carbon number of at least 6 and no greater than 20.     Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer is a single-layer photosensitive layer and contains a charge generating material, a hole transport material, an electron transport material, and a binder resin. A hole mobility μh is at least 1.00×10−7 cm2/V/second and an electron mobility μe is at least 4.00×10−8 cm2/V/second in the photosensitive layer as measured under conditions of a temperature of 23° C. and an electric field intensity of 1.50×105 V/cm. A ratio (μh/μe) of the hole mobility μh to the electron mobility μe is at least 1.0 and no greater than 50.0.
