    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a registration unit, a first paper feeding unit, a second paper feeding unit, and a control unit, which performs a primary paper feeding for conveying a paper sheet to a registration position, finishes the primary paper feeding at timing when the paper sheet reaches the registration position, and then after operating a target paper feeding unit until a preceding feeding time elapses, performs a secondary paper feeding for conveying the paper sheet to the printing position. The control unit sets different values of the preceding feeding time for the case where the first paper feeding unit is the target paper feeding unit and the case where the second paper feeding unit is the target paper feeding unit.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an accommodating portion, a motor, and a development sensor. In the accommodating portion, a replacement developing component is fitted. The replacement developing component is fitted with a rotary member including an operating member, and stores toner. The motor rotates the rotary member on the replacement developing component fitted in the accommodating portion. When a new replacement developing component is fitted, the development sensor is not in contact with the operating member before the motor rotates the rotary member and is in contact with the operating member on the rotary member that has moved as the motor rotates. The development sensor outputs a first level when in contact with the operating member and outputs a second level when not in contact with the operating member.

    摘要: A drive motor drives conveyance rollers. A controller generates a control signal to control the drive motor based on information indicating a rotational speed of the drive motor. The controller generates an initial control signal to drive the conveyance rollers since before conveyance of a sheet by the conveyance rollers and acquires a characteristic value of the initial control signal as a reference value. While the conveyance rollers are conveying the sheet, the controller performs determination processing to determine whether or not to stop the drive motor driving the conveyance rollers based on the characteristic value of the control signal and the reference value.

    摘要: The pickup roller is placed above a lifting plate made of a flexible material and feeds the sheet with abutting on an upper surface of the sheets loaded on the lifting plate. The sensor detects an arrival of the sheet fed by the pickup roller on a downstream side of the pickup roller. The abnormality detection unit detects the sheet feeding abnormality of the sheet fed by the pickup roller based on the drive start time of the pickup roller and the time sheet detection by the sensor. The abnormality detecting condition correction unit corrects the abnormality detecting condition of the abnormality detection unit depending on the amount of sheets on the lifting plate.
