Abstract: An image forming apparatus has a power supply circuit including a power circuit, a main circuit, and a sub-circuit. The sub-circuit includes a timer that performs electrical conduction of a driving contact point of a heater by a first setting time and performs electrical conduction of a driving contact point of a discharge fan by a second setting time when a power switch is turned off. When it is determined that humidity in an image forming apparatus body detected by a humidity detection sensor is equal to or more than a threshold value, the first setting time is set to 0 and the second setting time is set to a predetermined time larger than 0. When it is determined that the humidity is less than the threshold value, the first setting time is set to a predetermined time larger than 0 and the second setting time is set to 0.

Abstract: A liquid ejection apparatus includes a nozzle, a pressure chamber, a piezoelectric element, an acquisition processing portion, and a restriction processing portion. The nozzle ejects a liquid. The pressure chamber communicates with the nozzle and contains the liquid. The piezoelectric element changes a pressure in the pressure chamber in response to an input of a drive signal. When image formation processing for ejecting the liquid from the nozzle is executed based on image data, the acquisition processing portion acquires a length of a non-ejection period in which the liquid is not ejected from the nozzle, the non-ejection period being included in an execution period of the image formation processing. When the length of the non-ejection period acquired by the acquisition processing portion is less than a predetermined first threshold value, the restriction processing portion restricts abnormality detection processing for detecting an abnormality of the nozzle using the piezoelectric element.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a developer unit, a toner container, a capacitance sensor, a toner amount detector, and a determining unit. The toner container is located to be removably attachable to the image forming apparatus. The toner container supplies a toner to the developer unit. The capacitance sensor is located on a supply passage for the toner from the toner container to the developer unit. The capacitance sensor detects an electric charge amount and a relative dielectric constant of the toner. The electric charge amount is an electric charge amount when the toner passes through the supply passage. The toner amount detector detects an amount of the toner passing through the supply passage based on the electric charge amount detected by the capacitance sensor. The determining unit determines whether the relative dielectric constant of the toner detected by the capacitance sensor is in a predetermined range.
