A display device with a display section and a control unit including a processor, the processor performing operation in accordance with an operation program and the control unit performing control of: receiving an instruction based on touch operation on the display section; storing a list; storing use information; updating the stored use information; and allowing the display section to display the stored list upon reception of an instruction for displaying the list and performing scroll display of the list upon reception of a scroll instruction and in a case where the list is a scroll image. The control unit detects, as priority information, information highest in a use frequency out of the information listed in a scroll direction from a start position of the scroll display, and ends the scroll display while displaying the priority information at a predefined position in a display region of the display section.

Upon accepting a region dividing operation, a display input apparatus sets a line, which passes through a predetermined region, as a first reference line; sets an end edge of the predetermined region, which is opposite to the first reference line, as a second reference line; obtains a ratio for input numerical value calculation, namely, a ratio of a distance from the first reference line to the second reference line and a distance from the first reference line to a division line of the predetermined region divided by the region dividing operation; obtains a numerical value by multiplying a maximum value or minimum value in a numerical value input range by the ratio for input numerical value calculation, and displays the obtained numerical value in a numerical value input screen.

An image forming apparatus includes: a display device with a rectangular shape having long sides and short sides; a rotation mechanism causing the display device to be rotatable between a landscape orientation with the long sides located on upper and lower sides and a portrait orientation with the short sides located on the upper and lower sides; a detection sensor detecting which of landscape and portrait orientations the display device is in; and a controller displaying an error screen including a concept image and a text indicating details of an error on the display device. The controller arranges first and second display regions on the error screen, and horizontally arranges the first and second display regions when the detection sensor detects the landscape orientation of the display device, or vertically arranges the first and second display regions when the detection sensor detects the portrait orientation of the display device.

An image forming apparatus includes a display device, a rotation mechanism that allows the display device to rotate between a landscape orientation in which the long sides are a top and a bottom and a portrait orientation in which the short sides are a top and a bottom, a detection sensor that detects switching between the landscape orientation and the portrait orientation of the display device, and a controller that causes the display device to perform display according to a posture of the display device based on a detection result obtained by the detection sensor. Further, when the controller determines that the posture of the display device has switched at a predetermined frequency or more based on the detection result obtained by the detection sensor, the controller causes the display device to display a message indicating occurrence of a problem related to a rotational operation of the display device.

A display input apparatus according to a first aspect of the present disclosure includes a display portion, a touch panel portion, and a communication portion. The display portion displays a setting screen which disposes a plurality of images for accepting a setting operation. The touch panel accepts the setting operation on the setting screen and when accepting the setting operation, accepts a selection operation as well for selecting a non-permission image from the plurality of images that is an image not permitted to be displayed on a partner machine which is a communication destination. The communication portion transmits screen data for forcing the partner machine to display a screen to the partner machine, in which the non-permission image is removed from the setting screen, as a sharing screen and forces the partner machine to display the sharing screen.
