A device registration program causes a computer in a mobile terminal to function as a device detecting section, a designated device discriminating section, a display control section, and a device registration section. The device detecting section detects any devices communicable with the mobile terminal. The designated device discriminating section discriminates a device designated according to an orientation of the mobile terminal on the basis of location information and orientation information of the mobile terminal and location information of each of the detected devices. The display control section causes display of a list of icons indicating models of the detected devices and display of an icon of the discriminated device in a different manner than the other icons in the list. The device registration section registers the discriminated device.

A mobile terminal device (10) includes a display unit (11), a controller (21) that displays an input field and a software keyboard on a screen of the display unit (11), a touch panel (12) that receives an input of a character string including character, symbol, or code to the input field, according to an operation of a user performed on the software keyboard, and a decider (22) that decides whether the character string inputted to the input field through the touch panel (12) satisfies a predetermined condition. The controller (21) sets the software keyboard undisplayed in the screen of the display unit (11), when the decider (22) decides that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

An image forming device includes: a display device; a storage device that stores finish icons indicating respective finished states of a plurality of types of printed material, function icons indicating respective functions of setting finished states of the printed materials, and a correspondence relationship between the finish icon and the function icon indicating the function of setting the finished state of the printed material indicated by the finish icon; and a control device that includes a processor and, by the processor executing a control program, functions as a controller. The controller reads out the finish icon from the storage device, causes the display device to display, on a screen thereof, the finish icon, reads out the function icon associated with the finish icon from the storage device based on the correspondence relationship, and causes the display device to display the function icon in association with the finish icon.

An image forming apparatus includes: a rotation mechanism capable of rotating a rectangular display device between a landscape orientation with longer sides being top and bottom and a portrait orientation with shorter sides being top and bottom; a detection sensor that detects switching of the display device between the landscape orientation and the portrait orientation; and a controller that, upon detection of switching of the display device from the landscape orientation to the portrait orientation by the detection sensor, enlarges a preview display area and allows a preview to be displayed in a size enlarged to fit the enlarged preview display area and displayed to make top and bottom edges of the preview parallel to the shorter sides of the display device.

A display apparatus includes a display device, a touch panel, and a control device. The control device functions as a controller. The controller causes the display device to display one portion of a first image including a plurality of items arrayed along a first direction. The controller calculates, upon receiving scroll operation in the first direction via the touch panel, a speed of the scroll operation, causes the display device to scroll the first image when the calculated speed is equal to or less than a first speed, and causes the display device to scroll a second image including the plurality of items arrayed along a second direction when the calculated speed exceeds the first speed.
