    Abstract: An image processing device includes: an estimated size setting section (ACS determination section 151) which sets a document size of a document sheet as an estimated size; a threshold deciding section (ACS determination section 151) which decides a first threshold according to the estimated size; and an ACS determination section (151) which determines that the document sheet is a color document sheet when a number of color pixels reaches the first threshold. When an actual size of the document sheet is smaller than the estimated size, the threshold deciding section decides a second threshold which is smaller than the first threshold, and the document sheet is determined to be a color document sheet when the number of color pixels is the second threshold or greater and is determined to be a black-and-white document sheet when the number of color pixels is smaller than the second threshold.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a print processing portion, a first determination portion, a first determination target excluding portion, and a print color mode switching portion. The first determination portion determines, for each page of the document sheets, whether or not each of a plurality of divided areas is of a color type that is different from the print color mode. The first determination target excluding portion excludes divided areas that are determined as being of a color type that is different from the print color mode in a first set number or more of pages of the document sheets, from determination targets of the first determination portion from then. The print color mode switching portion is able to switch the print color mode during the print process when the number of divided areas that are the determination targets of the first determination portion becomes a predetermined number or smaller.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes first storage, a writing controller, a reading controller, a conveyance section, a detector, and a main controller. The conveyance section conveys a recording medium. The detector detects an overrun. Write addresses are designated in a predefined sequence from among addresses. Read addresses are designated in the predefined sequence from among the addresses. The writing process and the reading process are performed in storage areas included in the first storage in a first order. The overrun indicates that the writing and reading processes are performed in the storage areas included in the first storage in a second order that is opposite to the first order. While the conveyance section conveys the recording medium, the main controller controls the writing controller or the reading controller based on a detection result of the detector.

    Abstract: A processor causes, when the number of initial insertion sheets is one or more, an insertion conveying portion and a takeover conveying portion to operate at either one of a conveying speed that is the same as a print conveying speed corresponding to a first recording sheet and a reference conveying speed according to a magnitude relationship between the number of initial insertion sheets and an initial sheet count in conveyance of the initial insertion sheets. In addition, the processor causes a body conveying portion and the takeover conveying portion to operate at the corresponding print conveying speed in conveyance of the recording sheet irrespective of the number of initial insertion sheets.
