Abstract:
The drying apparatus includes a conveying belt and a heating unit. The heating unit includes a blower fan, a rectifying member, a heater, and a reflecting plate. The rectifying member is arranged on the downstream side of the blower fan in the blowing direction of the blower fan and includes one or more first through holes. The heater is arranged on the downstream side of the rectifying member in the blowing direction to radiate infrared rays in all directions. The reflecting plate is arranged between the rectifying member and the heater, includes one or more second through holes, and reflects the infrared rays radiated from the heater to the side of the conveying belt. The one or more first through holes are formed in a portion other than a portion where the infrared rays passing through the one or more second through holes of the reflecting plate are radiated.
Abstract:
A drying device (7) is a drying device which dries a sheet while conveying the sheet. The drying device (7) includes a conveying part (15) which conveys the sheet in a predetermined conveyance direction; a heating part (13) which is arranged above the conveying part (15) and dries the sheet conveyed by the conveying part (15); and a supporting part (17) which supports the conveying part (15) in a heating position where the sheet is heated by the heating part (13), by power supplying, wherein when the power supplying to the supporting part (17) is cut off, a force by which the conveying part (15) is supported in the heating position is weakened, and the conveying part (15) is lowered to a retreating position separated downward from the heating part (13).
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a toner case and an attachment member. The toner case has a transmission coupling. The attachment member has a drive coupling, an advance/retreat member and a lever. The advance/retreat member advances and retreats between a first position and a second position being closer to the drive coupling than the first position. The lever is moved between a first operation position to move the advance/retreat member to the first position and a second operation position to move the advance/retreat member to the second position. When the toner case is attached to the attachment member, the toner case engages with the advance/retreat member. In this time, when the lever is moved from the first operation position to the second operation position, the toner case together with the advance/retreat member approaches to the drive coupling and the transmission coupling is connected to the drive coupling.
Abstract:
A drying apparatus which dries a medium on which an image is formed with ink while conveying the medium includes a conveyance part, a heating part, a measurement part and a controller. The conveyance part conveys the medium in a predetermined conveyance direction. The heating part supplies energy to the image on the sheet conveyed in the conveyance part and dries the image. The measurement part measures a value accompanied with moisture contained in the medium. The controller estimates an amount of moisture contained in the medium based on the value measured by the measurement part, and controls at least one of the conveyance part and the heating part so as to change an amount of the energy supplied to the image based on the estimated amount of moisture.
Abstract:
Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that, regardless of the size of a recording medium, reduces clogging of nozzles by avoiding insufficient flushing, while at the same time avoid a decrease in productivity of the recording medium, and reduces situations in which the recording medium becomes stained due to the staining of opening portions due to ink ejected during flushing. A conveyor belt of the inkjet recording apparatus has a plurality of opening portion groups in a conveying direction of the recording medium in which opening portions for allowing ink ejected from each of the nozzles of the recording head to pass during the flushing are arranged in a belt width direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the recording medium. A control unit determines a pattern of a plurality of opening portion groups used in flushing in one cycle of the conveyor belt according to the size of the recording medium, and causes the recording medium to be supplied from a recording medium supply unit between the opening portion groups arranged in the conveying direction in the pattern on the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a drum unit having a photosensitive drum: a developing device having a developing roller that supplies toner to the image bearing member and a developer container that rotatably supports the developing roller; and a main apparatus body to which the drum unit and the developing device are detachably attached. The drum unit and the developing device are integrally attachable to and integrally detachable from the main apparatus body. The developer container includes a pair of ribs on an upper surface thereof at positions corresponding to opposite axial ends of the developing roller. The ribs abut against a casing part of the main apparatus body while the drum unit and the developing device are being integrally attached to and integrally detached from the main apparatus body.
Abstract:
An attachment mechanism of an optical scanning device includes a frame body provided with a supporting base having engaging parts; and a position fixing member arranged between the optical scanning device and the supporting base to have an erection plate, a first supporting plate and a second supporting plate. The first or second supporting plate includes a fitted hole fitting with a positioning boss of the optical scanning device. The first and second supporting plates respectively include first engaged parts and second engaged parts. The position fixing member is attached to the supporting base by engaging one of the first engaged parts and one of the second engaged parts with the engaging parts. The position fixing member changes a plane position of the fitted hole by engaging positions of the engaging parts with the first and second engaged parts and changes a height of the fitted hole by inverting.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an optical scanning device, a duct, and a cooling fan. The optical scanning device has a rotating polygon mirror, a motor which has a rotating shaft fixed to the rotating polygon mirror, and a housing that accommodates the rotating polygon mirror and the motor. The duct is disposed adjacent to the optical scanning device, and a part of the rotating shaft is exposed into the duct. The cooling fan generates airflow inside the duct. A sectional area of the duct becomes gradually small toward the part of the rotating shaft exposed into the duct from an upstream side of the part of the rotating shaft exposed into the duct with respect to a flow direction of the airflow in the duct, and a sectional area of the duct becomes large at a downstream side of the part of the rotating shaft exposed into the duct.
Abstract:
Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that reduces clogging of nozzles, while at the same time avoid a decrease in productivity of the recording medium, and reduces situations in which the recording medium becomes stained due to the staining of opening portions and splashing due to ink ejected during flushing. A conveyor belt of the inkjet recording apparatus has a plurality of opening portion groups. The control unit determines the pattern of the plurality of opening portion groups used for flushing in one cycle of the conveyor belt according to the size of the recording medium. The control unit causes the recording medium to be supplied from the recording medium supply unit between the plurality of opening groups arranged in the conveying direction in the above pattern on the conveying belt and at positions separated from the opening portion groups by a specific distance or more.
Abstract:
An openable cover mechanism includes a shaft section disposed in a casing, a hinge section that swings around the shaft section, a cover that is supported by the hinge section and is openable and closable relative to the casing, and a stopper section supported by the casing. The stopper section includes a contact section that makes contact with the hinge section and an urging section that urges the contact section. The hinge section includes a peripheral surface in an arc shape that makes contact with the contact section, and a raised section that is raised from the first peripheral surface. When the cover moves from a closed position to an open position, the contact section slides along the peripheral surface relative to the peripheral surface and engages with the raised section to fix the cover in the open position.
