Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a processor, a communication unit, an input unit, a display unit, and a storage unit storing a program. The program causes the information processing apparatus to display i) a status of an external apparatus received via the communication unit in a status window of a status monitor displayed on the display unit, ii) a tab indicating a category of the status in a side portion of the status window, iii) a first icon in the tab indicating a change in the status, and iv) a second icon that, when selected, causes the information processing apparatus to switch between displaying a maximum size status window and a minimum size status window. The maximum size status window includes the tab selected via the input unit and a tab page of the selected tab, and the minimum size status window includes the selected tab but not the tab page of the selected tab.
Abstract:
To provide a non-transitory storage medium and a client device, both having a printer driver (PD), that are capable of suppressing the performance degradation of the printer driver resulting from a time required for exchanging a setting information of the function of the printer driver between the print server (PS) and the client device (CD). In an embodiment, the non-transitory storage medium, that includes the PD for an MFP that is to be executed by the CD causing the MFP to print via the PS controlling the MFP, restricts the available functions among the functions of the PD to reduce the size of the Devmode to be transmitted to the PS, when the communication speed between the PS and the CD is smaller than or equal to a specified speed.
Abstract:
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus enabling pull printing and a terminal. The terminal includes a pull-printing server, a search unit, and a port setting unit. The pull-printing server accumulates print data for pull printing. The search unit searches for the pull-printing server and the image forming apparatus. The port setting unit sets different ports for the pull-printing server and the image forming apparatus that have been detected by the search unit. The image forming apparatus includes a pull-print data acquisition unit. The pull-print data acquisition unit acquires print data from the terminal through the port of the pull-printing server set by the port setting unit of the terminal.
Abstract:
A computer, which executes a color machine driver for outputting print data generated by an application program for generating the print data to a color image forming apparatus, accepts an interlocking setting, which is a setting for whether a color setting which is a setting for causing the color image forming apparatus to execute color printing or monochrome printing is interlocked with the application program. In case that the color setting is set not to be interlocked with the application program in the interlocking setting, when the color setting in the color machine driver is a color setting that causes the color image forming apparatus to execute the monochrome printing, the computer causes the application program to generate print data for the color image, and executes a monochrome image forming process for converting the color image into a monochrome image.
Abstract:
An image forming system includes a client apparatus, a print server, and an image forming apparatus, each of which are coupled via a network to one another. The client apparatus provides a job ID together with an IP address of the client apparatus to the print server, and transmits print job data to the image forming apparatus via the print server. The print server registers the job ID and the IP address in a job address table, receives content of an event transmitted from the image forming apparatus, reads an IP address associated with a job ID included in the content of the event from the job address table when the event is a change in job status, and transmits the content of the event to a client having the read IP address.
Abstract:
Provided is an image forming apparatus that prints an index label easily and set up a text printed into a standard size section and an index label section to a manuscript. An index label information setting part sets up index label information. An index label preview display part displays a preview of an index label by using the index label information. A shift image display part displays a shift image on the preview. The shift image is an image when a text printed to a standard size section and an index label section is set to the manuscript, and an image area is moved in case that the manuscript is printed the text of the manuscript to the index label.
