Abstract: This image forming apparatus accepts a reservation for itself from a terminal device communicably connected to the image forming apparatus via a network. Upon receiving a reservation containing a reservation time from the terminal device of a user, who is a reserving user, a reservation unit determines whether the current time is the reservation time. If it is determined that the current time is the reservation time, a prohibiting unit prohibits other users from using the image forming apparatus with the satisfaction of predetermined conditions, including a condition that the terminal device of the reserving user has approached the image forming apparatus. A prohibition removing unit determines whether a user approaching the image forming apparatus is the reserving user after the use of the image forming apparatus is prohibited, and removes the prohibition on the use of the image forming apparatus if the user is the reserving user.

Abstract: A print processing portion causes a print device to execute printing of a print image based on print data in accordance with a first scanning amount detected when manual scanning is performed at a first time. A density complementation processing portion causes the print processing portion to execute reprinting in accordance with a second scanning amount detected when the manual scanning is performed at at least a second time. When the manual scanning is performed at at least the second time, the density complementation processing portion identifies density insufficient parts in the print image printed by the print device based on the scanning amount and an image read by an optical reading device. Furthermore, the density complementation processing portion causes the print processing portion to execute the reprinting for the density insufficient parts.

Abstract: A data transmission device includes a data identification portion, an error determination portion and an output control portion. The data identification portion, based on a detected position of a predetermined bit string in a bit string received via a serial transmission path, identifies a plurality of parallel data corresponding to one line of image data included in the bit string. The error determination portion determines whether or not there is an error in each of the parallel data identified by the data identification portion. The output control portion, in a case where it is determined that none of the plurality of parallel data has an error, outputs the plurality of parallel data and stores the plurality of parallel data in a storage portion, and in a case where it is not determined that there is no error, outputs the plurality of parallel data stored in the storage portion.

Abstract: A receiver circuit receives a transmission signal using serial communication, the transmission signal including image data and a synchronization signal that has a pulse period fluctuated in a predetermined fluctuation range. A data reception processing unit extracts the image data and the synchronization signal from the received transmission signal, and writes each line of the image data into a line memory among line memories while selecting the line memory line by line in turn in accordance with the synchronization signal. A line data reading unit reads each line of the image data from a line memory among the line memories while selecting the line memory line by line in turn in accordance with the synchronization signal. If the pulse period of the synchronization signal is not in the predetermined fluctuation range, an error detecting unit discards the image data written into the line memory in this pulse period.
