The detent rod is assembled to the outside of the lever main body. This enables to detent rod to be easily assembled to the lever main body.

    摘要: In a shift lever device (10), due to a tilt shaft (58) being nipped between peripheral surfaces of lower supporting holes (20) of a shift lever plate (12) and peripheral surfaces of upper supporting holes (38A) of a shift lever guide (26), a shift lever (52) is supported so as to be able to tilt around the tilt shaft (58). A shift position of the shift lever (52) is changed due to the shift lever (52) being tiltingly operated while being guided by a guide hole (30) of the shift lever guide (26) and passed within a passage hole (64) of a cover (62). Here, the strength of the shift lever guide (26) is made to be large as compared with that of the cover (62). Moreover, when load is inputted from the shift lever (52) to the shift lever guide (26), rotation of the shift lever guide (26) is stopped by the shift lever plate (12). Therefore, the shift lever (52) can be tiltably supported properly.

Even if the plate and the lever are installed to a vehicle with the front side and rear side of the plate and the lever reversed, changing the retention frame that retains a detent rod enables the block on the side of the detent rod to restrict swinging of the detent rod, enabling swinging of the lever to be restricted. This thereby enables the plate and the lever to be commonly employed.

Note that when the lever is rotate-operated to the “R” position or the “D” position under a heavy load, a low rigidity plate and a low rigidity tube of the cushion undergo elastic deformation, and the high rigidity column of the cushion is sandwiched between the lever and the stopper. The rotating operation of the lever is thereby restricted. The high rigidity column is thereby able to effectively restrict the rotating operation of the lever.

    摘要: In a strength gate of a shift lever device, a shift hole is provided with an automatic transmission hole, a manual transmission hole, and a communication hole. The strength gate is provided with a peninsular portion that is adjacent to the automatic transmission hole, the manual transmission hole and the communication hole, and an opposing portion that is on the opposite side of the manual transmission hole to the peninsular portion. The peninsular portion is disposed to a front side with respect to the opposing portion. A reduction in the size of the peninsular portion along the vehicle left-right direction can accordingly be suppressed even if the strength gate is reduced in size along the vehicle left-right direction, thereby enabling a reduction in the strength of the peninsular portion to be suppressed.
