    摘要: 2-Nitroimidazoles having filaricidal activity of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is one of the groups ##STR2## --C(R.sup.3).dbd.C(R.sup.1)(R.sup.2),--CHBr--CH.sub.2 Br or --CH.sub.2 --CCl.dbd.CH.sub.2 ; n is 1, 2, 3 or 4; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or C.sub.1-3 -alkyl and R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-3 -alkyl, chlorine or bromine, andprocesses for their preparation are described. The compounds of formula I and compounds of formula ##STR3## wherein R.sup.4 is --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 OH,--CH.sub.2 --CHOH--CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.3,--CH.sub.2 --CHOH--CH.sub.2 OH or ##STR4## are useful in the treatment of filariasis is also described.
