    摘要: A sealing device for providing a fluid-tight seal when jointing different types of pipes. The sealing device comprises a sealing ring made of a resilient material are positioned in an annular groove in the outer pipe, and has a sealing portion adapted sealingly to engage an inner pipe introduced therein. A retainer ring made of a rigid or semi-rigid material cooperates with a radially inwardly extending projection of the sealing ring for retaining the sealing ring in a correct position in the groove during the introduction of the end portion of the inner pipe to a position wherein the end portion of the pipe deforms the sealing portion. The projection is positioned immediately in front of the retainer ring in the direction of introduction of the inner pipe, and the sealing portion is positioned behind the retainer ring. Preferably, the projection converges in the direction of introduction of the inner pipe so that the projection is folded over the retainer ring and presses the ring radially outwards when the projection is deformed by the inner pipe.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of forming a pipe socket having a sealing ring (8) at the inner surface of the pipe socket wall. The sealing ring has a fastening portion (16) and a sealing portion (20) connected therewith. The sealing portion (20) is displaceable in the axial direction of the pipe socket to be able to take different positions therein in order to adapt to different tolerances. It is a problem that the sealing portion (20) because of its displacability is not adapted to constitute such a surface around which the pipe wall can be formed. In order to obviate this drawback the pipe wall is formed so that the sealing portion (20) is positioned outside the pipe socket during the forming operation, whereupon the sealing portion is folded into the pipe socket after the forming operation.

    摘要: A sealing ring for sealing a space between two concentric sealing surfaces engageable one inside the other comprising first and second sealing portions each having a sliding surface. The sealing portions engage each other at the sliding surfaces and upon insertion one of the sealing surfaces in the other sealing surface each and to side against each other along the sliding surfaces which are preferably provided with lubricant. In the sealing ring illustrated, one of the sealing portions has a substantially conical sliding surface and the other sealing portion is connected with the first sealing portion and from that point of connection extends along the conical sliding surface so that the second sealing portion covers substantially the whole conical sliding surface in the starting position for inserting one of the sealing surfaces into the other.
