    摘要: For a first region being a portion of a storage section (202), a read-out pulse produced by a progressive scanning shift register (206) is used to perform a progressive read-out operation of reading out signals from all rows of image-storing pixels (221). For a second region including an entire region other than the first region, a read-out pulse produced by a skip scanning shift register (205) is used to perform a skip read-out operation of reading out signals from intermittently-selected rows of image-storing pixels (221). The progressive scanning shift register (206) produces the read-out pulse so that the first region moves every frame and an entire region of the storage section (202) is scanned over a plurality of frames.

    摘要: An image processing device and an image processing method capable of generating a moving image having a high resolution and a high frame rate are provided by suppressing the reduction in the amount of light incident on each camera. The imaging and processing device includes a separation section for separating visible light into at least a first color component and a second color component; a first imaging section for taking a moving image of the first color component, wherein the first imaging section takes images of the moving image with a first spatial resolution and a first temporal resolution by exposure for a first charge accumulation time period; a second imaging section for taking a moving image of the second color component, wherein the second imaging section takes images of the moving image with a second spatial resolution higher than the first spatial resolution and a second temporal resolution lower than the first temporal resolution by exposure for a second charge accumulation time period longer than the first charge accumulation time period; a control section for controlling imaging conditions of the first and the second imaging sections; and a processing section for generating a moving image of the second color component having the temporal and spatial resolutions thereof increased, based on information on the moving image of each of the first color component and the second color component.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus and method is provided to generate a moving picture with a high resolution, a high frame rate and a high SNR by eliminating a decrease in SNR even if the intensity of incoming light has been halved by a half mirror. The apparatus generates a multi-color moving picture based on first and second moving pictures, which respectively have first and second frame rates (where the second rate is higher than the first rate) and are comprised of pictures representing a first color component and pictures representing a second color component different from the first color component. The resolution of the second moving picture is equal to or lower than that of the first moving picture. The apparatus includes: a first image synthesizing section, which generates, based on the data of the first and second moving pictures, a synthetic picture by modifying some of the pictures that form the first moving picture and which outputs a synthesized moving picture corresponding to the first moving picture at a higher frame rate than the first frame rate by using the first moving picture and the synthetic picture; and a second image synthesizing section, which receives and synthesizes together the synthesized moving picture and the second moving picture, thereby generating a multi-color moving picture including the first and second color components.
