摘要: The present invention provides an electronic apparatus in which different components sharing the same hole can be installed. The apparatus includes: an enclosure having a hole; and one type of a board selected from plural types of boards each having mounted thereon or connected thereto either one of plural types of components which interact with the outside via the hole in different manners. The component mounted on or connected to the one type of the board is disposed at such a position in the enclosure that the mounted or connected component faces the outside through the hole.

摘要: A connector is mounted on a printed circuit board in an enclosure. A member is interposed between the enclosure and the printed circuit board so as to hold the printed circuit board on the enclosure. The member allows change in the attitude of the printed circuit board relative to the enclosure. When the connector is coupled to the other connector, the connector receives a force from the other connector in the electronic apparatus. The force induces the change in the attitude of the connector and the printed circuit board. The change in the attitude in this manner enables consumption of the energy of the force within the member. Generation of stress can be suppressed in a bonding member such as a solder coupling the connector with the printed circuit board, for example. Generation of cracks can be prevented in the solder. Shockproof is improved for the connector.

摘要: An enclosure of an electronic apparatus includes an upper panel covering over the upper surface of an inner space of the enclosure. A connector is incorporated in the enclosure. The electronic apparatus allows the upper panel to define the peripheral edge retreating from the tip end of the connector. When the user of electronic apparatus looks down at the upper panel, the user can see the tip end of the connector. The user is in this manner allowed to locate the connector without looking into the side of the enclosure. The user can thus insert a plug or male connector into a connector or female connector with a higher reliability.

The disk drive has an enclosure whose surface is in the shape composed of a first rectangular portion and a second rectangular portion formed on the first rectangular portion. The second rectangular portion is shorter than the first rectangular portion in the lateral direction. The second rectangular portion and the first rectangular portion are aligned on one side of the lateral direction. The media slot is disposed such that it vertically overlaps the first rectangular portion and is laterally aligned with the second rectangular portion.

The electronic apparatus has: a main unit; and an openable and closable display unit that is attached to the main unit. The main unit has a battery-attachment section to which a detachable battery unit containing a battery for supplying power to the electronic unit is to be attached. The main unit also has projections that are not covered by the display unit when the display unit is closed and are formed at both ends of the attachment section. The projections each contain a speaker.

摘要: An electronic device includes: a first housing that includes an inlet and an outlet on one end; a second housing; and a linkage section that links the second housing to the first housing such that the second housing can be opened and closed. The device is configured such that the second housing divides at least a part of a space between the inlet and the outlet while the second housing is in the open position relative to the first housing. While the second housing is opened relative to the first housing, the second housing divides the space between the inlet and the outlet, thereby preventing the exhausted warm air from being drawn into the electronic device.
