    摘要: A liquid sensor mounted on the side wall of a liquid tank for detecting the existence of liquid in the tank. The sensor includes an element which generates a vibration in the direction of its thickness, of energy-trapped type for detecting the existence of liquid. The element consists of electrodes provided on both sides of a piezo-electric substrate, one side of the element for contacting the liquid in the tank being covered with a liquid-proof coating. The existence of liquid is detected from the change in resonance impedance or antiresonance impedance resulting from the liquid contact.

    摘要: In a modified Huffman (MH) code decoding apparatus, an MH code is composed of a first part and second part. The apparatus includes a code conversion table for outputting a run data in response to an index data and a code length table. The index data is composed of a color data indicative of a color of a run corresponding to the current MH code, a first code length data associated with a length of the first part of the current MH code, and a second part data indicative of the second part of the current MH code. The run data is composed of the color data, a code type data indicative of whether the current MH code is a terminate code or a make-up code, and a run length data indicative of a length of the run. The apparatus further includes an index generating section for combining the color data, the first code length data and the second part data on the first code length data of a previous MH code and a second code length data indicative of a length of the second part of the previous MH code such that the index is generated. The index is supplied to the code conversion table. The code length table outputs the second code length data for a next MH code to the index generating section in response to the run data outputted from the code conversion table. An image generating section generates an image corresponding to the current MH code in accordance with the run data outputted from the code conversion table.

    摘要: New nucleoside derivatives possessing strong anti-tumor activity with low toxicity, represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein (A-CO-- is a residue of a saturated straight or branched chain fatty acid, B is a nitrogen-containing group, Q is a substituent of the fatty acid, Z and Z' each is H or OH with the proviso that both of Z and Z' are not OH, and n is zero or an integer of at least 1, as well as physiologically acceptable salts thereof. These nucleoside derivatives are prepared by introducing the nitrogen-containing acyl group directly in one step or indirectly in two steps into the 5'-position of 5-fluorouridine, 2'-deoxy-5-fluorouridine or 1-.beta.-D-arabinofuranosyl-5-fluorouracil and splitting off any protective group and optionally converting the free compound into a physiologically acceptable salt thereof or vice versa.

Each wireless device determines whether relaying operation is necessary or not and transmits a control signal for controlling the relaying operation.
