摘要： An expansion valve includes a valve body having a valve body hole, a first passage, a bottomed valve chamber, a second passage, a third passage and a guide member disposed in the valve body hole between the first passage and the third passage. The valve body hole has a first valve body hole portion and a second valve body hole portion of different diameters forming a valve body step between the second passage and the first passage. The guide has a first guide portion and a second guide portion of different diameters forming a guide portion step. The guide is sized to be slidably received by the valve body hole in a close-fitting relationship with the first valve body hole portion receiving the first guide portion, the second valve body hole portion receiving the second guide portion and the valve body step and the guide portion step contacting each other.

A first path 20 into which refrigerant is introduced, a valve chamber 22 formed near the bottom of the path, a second path 24 for refrigerant heading toward an evaporator and a third path 26 for refrigerant returning from the evaporator are provided to the valve body 10. A valve member 30 provided inside the valve chamber is operated by a power element 70 via an actuating rod 60. In order to assemble the expansion valve, an assembled orifice member 40 and an assembled guide member 100 are press-fitted into an opening provided to the valve body 10.

Movement of a diaphragm is transmitted to an actuating rod via a member and the actuating rod actuated the movable member to control the opening amount of the path between the valve member and the orifice. An orifice member affixed to the orifice is made of a material harder than the valve body, and free from erosion or other damage by a refrigerant, which will otherwise occur at the valve opening portion.

摘要： A thermal expansion valve has a valve housing, a valve, a valve controller, a rod, and a seal ring. The valve housing has a first refrigerant passage, which is adapted to pass a liquid-phase refrigerant, and a second refrigerant passage, which is adapted to communicate a gas-phase refrigerant. The valve housing has a wall that separates the first and second passages. This wall has an opening that is in fluid communication with the first and second passages. The valve controls flow of the liquid-phase refrigerant entering the first passage. The valve controller is mounted on the valve housing and has a diaphragm and first and second chambers separated by the diaphragm. The rod extends between the diaphragm and the valve and is movably displaceable through the opening in the wall to open and close the valve to control the amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant entering the first passage. The seal ring is positioned in the opening and engages the opening surface of the wall and the rod to seal the opening. The seal ring has an X-shaped profile, with four sealed portions, two of which engage the opening surface and two of which engage the rod member to seal the opening against the opening surface of the wall and the rod.

In the guide member, a guide portion, which slidably guides an operation rod for opening and closing a valve element, and an orifice portion, which has a throttle portion for causing the valve chamber and the second passage to communicate with each other, are formed integrally. The guide member is mounted with a vibration isolating member, and is fixed by staking to the valve body. The orifice portion is formed with a positioning portion for positioning the guide member with respect to the valve body by surface contact.

摘要： An expansion valve 1 comprises a piping member 10 having passages to which pipes for refrigerant are connected, and a cassette unit 100, which are formed as separate components. The cassette unit 100 comprises a flange portion 111 and a tube member 110 which are welded together, and to the interior of which are fixed a guide member 170, an orifice member 180 and a plate member 166. According to the pressure of gas filled in a gas charge chamber 122 defined by a lid 120 and a diaphragm 130, the diaphragm 130 is displaced, the movement of which is transmitted through a stopper 140 to a shaft member 150. The shaft member 150 is guided by a guide member 170 and drives a valve member 160 disposed within a valve chamber 161. The cassette unit 100 is inserted to the piping member 10 and fixed by a ring 50. Seal members 62, 64, 66 are fit to necessary areas.
