摘要： An ink-jet recording apparatus having an ink-jet recording head including pressure generating chambers communicatively connected to a nozzle opening and a reservoir, pressure generating member for pressurizing the pressure generating chambers, and a control device for applying drive signals to the pressure generating member. The control device applies drive signals to the pressure generating member. The drive signals contain signals corresponding to print data and signals which minutely vibrate the meniscus of ink in the nozzle openings to such an extent as to not eject ink droplets during a nonprint period. The control device causes ejection of ink droplets from the nozzle openings in accordance with print data during printing operations, and minutely vibrates the meniscuses of ink formed at the nozzle openings a preset period of time before or after the discharging of the ink droplets in a printing operation.

摘要： The present invention is a container for holding printing fluid material. The container includes a detector, a memory unit, a communication module, a first electric power generator, and a second electric power generator. The communication module is configured to transmit at least one of a result of the detection and the information regarding the container to the printing device. The first electric power generator is configured to generate a first electric power by utilizing the radio wave received from the printing device. The second electric power generator is configured to generate a second electric power from the first electric power. The second electric power is supplied to both the detector and the memory unit.

摘要： A memory includes a nonvolatile memory cell array, and a memory control circuit which carries out writing of data to and reading of data from the memory cell array in access units of N bits where N is an integer equal to 2 or greater. The memory cell array includes a rewritable area in which both writing of data and reading of data are permissible, and a read-only area in which writing of data is prohibited and reading of data is permissible. The rewritable area is configured so that the N bits constituting one access unit contain both actual data and an error detection code. The read-only area is divided between an actual data area in which the N bits constituting one access unit contain actual data, and an error detection code area in which the N bits constituting one access unit contain error detection codes.

The first line may be positioned to a leading side when the ink cartridge is moved in a prescribed direction to effect installation in a printer. Alternatively, the first line may be the line closest to an opening of an ink delivery port. Alternatively, the first line may be the line closest to an ink delivery needle.
