摘要: An exhaust gas treating method removes sulfur dioxide from exhaust gas containing at least sulfur dioxide and mercury by bringing the exhaust gas into contact with absorption liquid. Persulfate is added into the absorption liquid or alternatively, iodine gas is added to the exhaust gas before the exhaust gas is brought into contact with the absorption liquid. A high removal rate for both sulfur dioxide and mercury is stably maintained if the load of power generation and the composition of exhaust gas fluctuate.

摘要: Active carbon catalyst for recovering and removing sulfur oxides contained in flue gas by turning them into sulfuric acid by a catalytic desulfurization reaction. Powdery active carbon and fluororesin are kneaded by shearing force before being molded to a desired profile so that the inter-particulate gaps of powdery active carbon particles are made water-repellent. Flue gas preferably flows downwardly through a tower filled with such an active carbon catalyst, which is made to show a honeycomb structure having surfaces running only in a direction parallel to the flow. The activity of the catalyst maintains an enhanced level if dilute sulfuric acid or water is introduced into the active carbon from the top of the tower to cleanse the surface of the active carbon catalyst so that the catalyst layer is prevented from being clogged and contaminated by ashes and soot contained in flue gas.

摘要: A process for treating a flue gas containing sulfur dioxide and fly ash is disclosed in which an aqueous absorbent liquid is sprayed into the glue gas stream, and the resulting gas is fed to a vertical, open-ended pipe to form a jet annular stream, so that portions of the SO.sub.2 and the fly ash contained in the flue gas are transferred to the liquid phase. The jet annular stream is then sparged into the aqueous absorbent held in a well-mixed vessel to form a jet bubbling layer in a shallow, upper region of the aqueous absorbent, so that a greater part of the SO.sub.2 and the fly ash are removed from the gas. Air is introduced into a deep lower region of said aqueous absorbent to provide streams of fine oxygen-containing gas bubbles throughout the whole vessel, so that the absorbed SO.sub.2 and other sulfites are oxidized to form coarse gypsum crystals while COD of the absorbent is reduced.

摘要: Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including a toner feed unit used in a developing device and provided near a top surface of a body casing. The toner feed unit includes a frame that includes a toner container storage space portion including a curved concave portion formed of a material different from a material constituting the body casing, and has supporting surfaces, in a part of a top surface of the space, that support side portions of a device mounted on the body casing and a rear portion of the device connected to the side portions by surface contact. The frame has legs that extend from a position, which is located opposite to the device to be mounted, toward an installation surface of the body casing. The frame is built in the body casing.
