    摘要: To prevent the disengagement of housings by a simple construction, four projections 14 stand on the upper surface of a lower housing 1, and round holes 14 into which the corresponding projections 14 are fitted are formed in the lower surface of the upper housing 2. The end face of each projection 14 is bevelled to form a tapered guide surface 15. When the upper housing 2 is placed on the lower housing 1, the housings 1, 2 are locked by the lock portions 5, and the projections 14 and the round holes 16 provided on the surfaces of the housings 1, 2, which come together are engaged in four positions. In this way, the relative rotation of the housings 1, 2 is prevented and such a force as to elastically deform the lock portions 5 does not act. The projections 14 and the round holes 16 are engaged with each other by being guided by the guide surfaces 15, thereby easily positioning the housings 1, 2. Thus, the housings 1, 2 can be smoothly placed one over the other.

    摘要: An electrical terminal has inwardly directed blades (21,22) to cut through insulation and make contact with an electrical core wire. Two sets of axially spaced blades are provided to increase security. The front set of blades (21) is bent in from opposite sides whereas the rear set is bent up from the base. This configuration gives a short terminal length without risk of deformation when the usual wire barrels (13) are crimped.

    摘要: A pressure contact terminal (10) has a pair of anterior and posterior pressure contact blades (17) formed thereon to define pressure contact grooves (20). A pushing-in member (23) is provided that fits into the terminal and has pressure contact grooves (27) formed on anterior and posterior end faces. The upper ends of the pressure contact grooves (27) have pressing-down members (28) for pressing down an electric wire (1) to a specified extent. After placing an end of the electric wire (1) on the pressure contact blades (17), the pushing-in member (23) is placed thereon and clamped using pliers P. Locking protrusions (31) enter locking holes (32) to retain the pushing-in member (23).

    摘要: A connector examining system includes a mechanism to move a terminal into a proper insertion position and to determine if the terminal is in the proper insertion position. The system includes a probe holder, a connector holder, and terminal pushing member. Resilient members assure that the connector is moved to a position where the terminal is properly positioned. A connector has its orientation corrected by a tapered surface of the probe holder. The connector housing includes a lance which projects into a cavity and is elastically deformable toward a lance flexure space by the metal terminal inserted into the cavity. A lance of the connector assures that the terminal is retained in the connector. The metal terminal optionally has stabilizers positioned on opposite sides of the lance. A check pin of the probe holder, which is insertable into the lance flexure space, optionally has a front end check portion pivotally movable toward the stabilizers.

    摘要: A connector examining system includes a mechanism to move a terminal into a proper insertion position and to determine if the terminal is in the proper insertion position.     摘要: An engaging member including a reinforcing projection and a cut-out portion. A recess complementary to the reinforcing projection is formed in the inner wall of the deflection space which receives the engaging member when it is deflected. When the engaging member is deflected by the terminal, the reinforcing projection fits into the recess. Excessive deflection of the engaging member is prevented by the contact of the surface of the cut-out portion with the inner wall of the deflection space. The strength of the engaging member is assured by the presence of the reinforcing projection. Since sufficient deflection room for the engaging member is provided by both the deflection space and the recess, the thickness of the deflection space can be made smaller than in prior art connectors by the depth of the recess.
