    摘要: The low-operating-force connector consists of a pair of female and male housings. The male housing has on the opposite sides driven pins, while the female housing has pin guide grooves for the driven pins. A cam member is rotatably mounted on the female housing, which consists of levers each including a cam groove and a lever handle connecting the levers. The housings are fitted with or separated from each other through rotation of the cam member. A pair of resilient locking pieces are provided on the outer periphery of the male housing, the locking pieces each including an engagement projection, while a corresponding pair of engagement portions are provided on the lever handle. Springs are so provided between the levers of the cam member and the female housing as to urge the cam member into an upright opened position. On completion of the coupling of the female and male housings, the cam member is locked by the engagement between the engagement projections and portions. When the engagement projections and portions are disengaged, the cam member is opened by the resilient action of the springs up to a starting position for separating the housings.

    摘要: A switch connector assembly with a waterproof structure which prevents admission of water thereinto without certainty and complete fitting between male and female connectors can be confirmed readily. The female connector has a short-circuiting terminal extending into a connector fitting chamber thereof and further has a temporary arresting projection and a flexible locking arm having a final arresting projection thereon. The male connector has a connecting terminal, a flexible engaging pawl, and an engaging portion. The short-circuiting terminal and the connecting terminal are kept out of contact with each other when the temporary arresting projection is fitted with the flexible engaging pawl, but contact with each other when the final arresting projection is fitted with the engaging portion. A sliding seal is provided on an outer periphery of the male connector and is engaged, upon insertion of the male connector into the connector fitting chamber, with the inner wall of the connector fitting chamber simultaneously with fitting of the temporary arresting projection and the flexible engaging pawl with each other.

    摘要: The connector consists of a connector housing having terminal accommodating chambers, and a terminal locking block which is mounted to the rear portion of the connector housing in two steps, first in a provisionally-engaged condition and then in a full-engaged condition. When the terminal locking block is half-coupled to the connector housing, a full-engaging projection member formed on the terminal locking block contacts an inclined guide inner surface formed in a locking block receiving opening in the rear part of the connector housing. At the same time, engagement projections of full-engaging members formed on the terminal locking block abut against the provisionally-engaging portion of the connector housing. In the provisionally-engaged condition, the front ends of terminal holding pieces projecting forwardly from the terminal locking block are located out of the terminal lug insertion paths in the terminal accommodating chambers, so that terminal lugs can freely be inserted into or removed from the terminal accommodating chambers. Moving the terminal locking block from the provisionally-engaged position to the full-engaged position requires disengaging the full-engaging members from the provisionally-engaging portion of the connector housing. This prevents an inadvertent shifting of the terminal locking block into the full-engaged position.

When the connector elements are not used or before they are coupled with each other, a body for preventing the one connector element from being fit into the other connector element is inserted in the hood of the other connector element. The body has a locking arm to be engaged with the locking protrusion and a locking portion into which a dedicated jig for pulling out the body from the hood is to be inserted. Thus, in electric wiring (e.g., an air bag for motor vehicles), a connection of the connector elements is prevented with a false current is flowing through one of the connector elements, thus preventing error (e.g., an explosion in an inflator).
